  • I've got a child with Down Syndrome in my class. It is really hard to work with him....but he has the most charming smile in the world...and that's enough for me to love and kiss him:)

  • @happy they dont........................ my son dont. my best friend's son dont nor do alot of my others frinds kids dont.

  • This bothers me but why does everyone with Down Syndrome or some sort of disability have their names end with the E sound. Like Frankie, Corky, Danny, Stevie, Bobbie.

They don't need special names just because they have some sort of disability.

And what is it about Down Syndrome people not being allowed to drive!

Down Sundrome people should be able to do anything including drive.

I think what Down's people need is lot's of driver's ed....

  • And why should we be so inspired by disabled people. We should be just as inspired by regular people doing extraordinary things, just as much as a disabled person doing something extraordinary.

Winning a race is fantastic for anyone, but winning a race for one with a disability is also fantastic - not exceptional though.

    BTW, I am learning disabled- I don't have down's.

  • Joey ends with a Y

  • @KagomeHigurashi

I don't care. What are you? Spelling police! If one can read it, a spelling error does not matter.

    Picky aren't we!

  • @happy7117 i agree that they should be able to drive, my brother has downsyndrom andmy mum says she'sgoing to fight until she can help him get his drivers lisens.he cant read but they have translaters for people who cant read english so she says she should be able to read to him and then as long as he gets the answers right y cant he drive?

oh and my brothers name is jotham it's pronounced jaw-thum so it doesnt end in an e sound

  • @kkj18

A person with down's may need extra driver's ed to succeed but driving should never be out of the question for someone with down's.

  • @happy7117

    that was an idiotic comment

  • @happy7117 Umm, not everyone with Down Syndrome has a name that ends with "E sound" Here are a few people I know : Nolan, and Michael. For the record, Corky was a character in a TV show. The actor who play that role is Chris Burk. Beware of steriotyping!

  • @happy7117 I know a person that has Autism. Her name is Gloria. I also know a few other kids. Their names are Diana, Nickolas, Johnathan, and brian.

  • @happy7117 including becky? (from glee)

  • My Ex Boy-friend Frankie has Down Syndrome too!!

  • This is just my opinion, and I hope it does not offend you, but doesn't the name Frankie sould right for a little boy.

    Why not just Frank.

I also notice people with down's also have their names end with "ie". It sounds cute or babyish.

Names that end in "ie" or "y" are usualy for children with or without down's, but the "e" sound should be dropped when a child with or without down's get older.

And I don't understand why people with down's get named like that.

  • @drtgreatwhites

It's Frank. Frankie is babyish! Unless your boyfriend is a little boy!

  • I have this book and its amazing. I worked with special needs students in High school.

Everyone has a diffrent way of learning. This is awsome

  • The kid at 00:20 looks very familiar to me.

  • he says he earned them both...:)

  • he says he earned them both..:)

  • What does he say at the very end? "Here ...?

  • It's the Joey's of the world who make us better people.

  • wow things like that give hope to all the other special need kids!
