i've been on a house arrest for a month as of today 12/03/2011, with 2 months to go. thankful for the internet and youtube for entertainment. i have been listening to some great music tonight and none has been later than probably the mid 80s.
Great video! I remember this song and Donnie's others but I knew nothing of the band.Man they rocked! The drummer looked so young that he reminded me of Michael Shreave that played drums for Santana and did the awesome drum solo at Woodstock on the instrumental called Soul Sacrifice.
great fucking tune from 81! that was just a magical yr! Van Halen-Fair Warning, Journey-Escape, ACDC-Back in Black (1980 but close enough). I know there are others as well. great riff!
@footbroadcastnetwork Glad to hear they are still jammin. Always thought they were pretty tight. I wish I could check them out live. Always liked Kevin, Great drummer. Did I mention that 3 people suck!!!!!!Thanx for the info
This group and song are just two reasons why NE Ohio is the site of the Rock N Roll HOF!!! When stadium rock was in it's hey day in the 80's everyone who was anyone came through here!!! Great song, thanks for posting!
Great video!! I was at this concert if he opened for MSB. Thanks for bringing back great memories of the summer I graduated from high school. Blossom Music Center is an awesome venue, it was so much fun going to concerts there.
Interssanterweise sieht man den eigentlichen Gitarristen nur ganz kurz zwischendurch. Mr. Iris und der Herr mit der Gibson Firebird non-reverse mimen nur.
@n8tureboy ~ Isn't it a shame that you can't turn on the radio or T.V. and hear GREAT music like this these days!! Thank goodness for YouTube, so we can "tune in" here ~ same time, same place ; )
To say it's a shame is putting it mildly! It's really bordering on criminality how bad today's music actually is. I'd like to have a talk with some of these record co. exec's and ask them what the He!! they're smoking to actually promote some of this drivel-are they insane?
@gordoha No, Eddie and the Cruisers was a movie about a fictional band. John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band recorded the soundtrack that the actor lip synched to. No connection to Donnie.
I must have listened to this 20 times in a row since I found it. It just popped into my memory somehow. What can I say? It speaks for itself. Fuckin awesome! Agreed, where the he'll did this kind of REAL ROCK go? !
I heard this on the radio today....first time in years. Searched and found this on youtube as soon as I got home. Totally freaking awesome! Where is music like this these days????
I Love this song! my parents were playing it and i said, "OOH! I love this song!" my mom was like, "really? you like something that isn't rap or screamo!?" So lol ya its a great song. : )
Don't forget the Iron City Houserockers either! And that feller Bryan Bassett from P-burgh of Wild Cherry & Foghat is one of the best slide guitar players EVER!
Remember Slade? They actually covered this tune in 1986. I guess they figured Quiet Riot and other bands were covering Slade originals so they'd give it a try. They did a pretty heavy version of this tune....
wow...This is a song that just does not age. It was cool as hell then as it is now...maybe even better. Excellent job on the drums. I'll be humming this for days!! Thanks for the post!!!!
