The Plague Snail is quite susceptible to Fire Ninjutsu. When he is charging up for his flaming-vehicle attack, throw the Fire-Ninjutsu-Endowed-Shuriken unto the snail (Make sure to aim properly) and his HP bar will be toast for those unable to go melee =D.
