We always try to cite primary sources so the politicians we confront can't dismiss what we're saying when we make sure to cite a reliable source. The problem with that as you've stated is ends up being too long of a question and starts to lose the attention of the audience.

I doubt there has ever been a highway that has been built without some form of opposition. A road that stretches across the US doesn't threaten sovernty. If anything it unifies the US. The only thing about the nafta highway that threatens sovernty is what happens at the border. More than likely there will be tarrifs at the border so America won't just be taxing American's for their work but they will also tax Mexican's for their work. What a great way to eliminate the deficit?

Manufacturing jobs may be lost to mexico but they are jobs that are being lost anyways to asian countries and there isn't really anything to be done about it. May as well let the cheap labour go to mexico and tax up the border with tariffs. The new jobs, the green jobs, are supposibly what will replace the old manufacturing jobs. The only other solution is to quite literally go to war with asia and plunder the manufacturing jobs back from them.

If you replace "foreign companies" with "the government" you have the general process of aquiring land to build a highway. A foreign company can't force a private land owner to give up their land, that can only be done by the government. So I think your sentence would be better worded like this:

The fact that it's a foreign company as opposed to a domestic company or the government buying out the land does not make a difference. America is a capatilistic nation. It thrives on privitization. Not everything foreign is evil or an agent of terrorism.

Either way thousands of Texans oppose the idea of the Trans Texas Corridor aka the NAFTA super highway. My goal was to get McCain to take a public stance on the issue. McCains top adviser is a globalist and McCain is weak on immigration. Now whether or not you support globalism and open borders is another debate. But McCain is no conservative.

I support closed borders. Ironically the highway would help secure America's borders. The American jobs that go to Mexico would deter Mexican's from crossing the border illegally. The guest worker program wouldn't be needed anymore since there would be jobs in Mexico. McCain had a sit down talk where he said if he was president he would send all the illegals back unless they were like 70. Since they would have jobs to go back to in Mexico this would not be such a travesty.

There would no longer be a reason to keep illegal immigrants in the country. Illegals immigrants are law breakers by definition so essentially McCain would be cleaning up millions of felons and sending them back to jobs that would be awaiting them in Mexico.

e.g. The new world order is a push towards globalization, opening physical and trade borders in an effort to achieve maximum world market efficiency.

North Korea is isolationist in the sense that it's physical and trade borders are closed to the world.

So a step away from globalism is a step towards isolationism. It's a trade off between world market efficiency and sovereignty.

Sovereignty was screwed when the supreme court made a ruling allowing dual citizenship, then screwed again when congress passed a bill allowing dual citizenship. There is no longer such thing as sovereignty. So there is nothing to trade off for world market efficiency. So globalism is the only way to go unless dual citizenship is revoked.
