UFO and remote mind reading/manipulation technology was developed by the nazis by the end of WW2 without any alien help. : there is an extreme criminal orgonizaiton working withing high ranks of the US military waging psychological against the general population pretending to be extradimensional aliens and/or angelic and demonic forces often using holograms.
@metalstormimpaler YESSS, UFO is the best Hard-Rock Band after Axel Rudi....! Lights out is simply timeless and HardRock at its finest... Doctor doctor and Rock Bottom too
yes this not from the 1st record, hi have have heard them live , not bad , girl friend of my back in the day tune me me to this , and i said well 2 songs play any ways i got laid. thank GOD FOR MSG.
There's no way a guitarist sits in a studio and bashes out a solo like that unless they are under the influence of an assortment of booze and drugs. A cocktail of creativity and insight that one doesn't normally see while sober.
Not advocating that sort of thing. But....Phew....What an incredible result.
Sounds good but I was kinda hoping Schenker woulda reproduced the phenomenal solo he did on Strangers in the night for the new album. Nothing touches that. Every nuance of it from the controlled feedback, subtle wah tonal variation, melodic passages...
I bought Strangers in The Night in '78 and played it continuously in the 8-track player of my '70 Chevelle, SS396 convertible. I was 18, had the world in my hand, and didn't even know it.
Yes this recording is from the Walk on Water CD. I believe this to be some of Schenker's best playing IMHO. He is the master who single handedly influenced so many great guitarists. He is the unsug hero who lives on in our hearts & music!
This was 1977!!! When I heard this the first time I couldn't believe it, the guitar solos sound like something satriani would play.....in the late 80's! schenker was 10 years ahead of his time, and he still is.

Would have loved to have seen this live back in the day, with the thumping of the bass compromising the integrity of the roof and support structure of the building in whatever venue they were playing at. Could have had disasterous consequences.
@evoman1776 My father was at that concert too. That concert is the one that is on "Strangers in the Night." And to imagine that you are one of the screaming voices when they say "Lights out in Chicago" is pretty amazing.
OMG I never knew Michael was this good. He could easily challenge Eddie van halen in a guitar duel. and possibly win hes not even doing any fretboard tapping either. His sounds like liquid with his picking style.
California just banned USA made light bulbs Gotta love the bleak job forecast. pretty soon we won't be able to change a light bulb let alone make one at this rate.
@Ir1s1 Van Halen had some great stuff then they went commercial and then bit the dust, I always liked the stuff you never heard and radio didn`t dare play.
Where can I find the original Lights out studio track from 1977? This is the 90's remake from the album "walk on water". The original is a bit more energetic :)
Excelente canción para mí, MICHAEL SHENKER ES EL MEJOR GUITARRISTA QUE HA HABIDO EN LA HISTORIA, POR ENCIMA DE JIMI HENDRIX, JIMMY PAGE, RITCHIE BLACKMORE ETC, SOBRE TODO PORQUE CUANDO APARECIÓ M. S. ALEMANIA NO TENÍA UNA TRADICIÓN EN HARD ROCK
@Wowottaja74 Do you know the lyric in the last verse? 'Listening to you's like.......................". Can't understand what Phil says in the first strain! It's not in any lyric sheet i found.
@ChesterPiniton The Michael studio version of the guitar solo sounds pretty awfull, whereas this sounds like an Eddie Van Halen style. And i googled it. They often remade their own songs on later albums with Vinnie. You can tell because Phil Mogg's voice sounds differant aswell. You can also find it on a Vinnie Moore era album on iTunes. It's sounds exactly like this.
I think he would. British accents aside...London Is just another town fallen to the injustice of political correctness and the slavery of entitlement mentality.
