is crepe tape & masking tape the same? i've gone to every single shop in my area and cannot find any crepe tape. that's why i'm asking if masking tape the same with crepe tape?
I'm doing flames on a panel. and i layed out a red basecoat. on top of the basecoat itaped off some flames. about two days later i pulled the tape off the metal, but it left a big indent in the paint. so you could see everywhere the tape was. what do i do to prevent that??
There are 2 types that I use. One is 1/8" crepe tape that 3M makes. The other is 3/32" fine line light green in color. The reason I use the 3/32" is because it flexes and bends easy. It has a low film thickness. Steve

@tenshicuh143 they look the same. The. Crepe tape is not as sticky and is easier to remove.
