@afroqueen98 Pretty sure it's either in Europe and its a Spanish or French speaking place. Just judging from his mannerisms, accent and knowledge (he was easily able to translate the Evangeline song). That and the fact that he's royal.
@Horselover1501 no silly, they did what i like to call a quick fix montarge. it's were cartoon people do a job that takes like a month and make it look like yhey did it in a day
well, i guess we all have to settle with the happy ending that the movie had...better yet, must we forget that this fairy tail's set-up is quite a good twist from the usual story that we all knew...some sourness from the usual sweet romances....:D
I have to say that I liked Naveen better as a frog... Human Naveen just, I don know, looks to old for Human Tiana, but when they were frogs, they looked like a perfect couple...
I truly enjoy this film but somehow I'm not satisfied with the whole "being frogs" at 90% of the film concept. I mean, I know why they are this way, but couldn't we have 50/50 of frogs and human versions of Tiana & the Prince? They're both so beautiful to watch & I have to wait till the end to see them together in their normal form! :(
I love Anika. They couldn't have picked a better voice actress for Tiana, her singing is lovely, and she tottally makes the song at the beginning even better.
Also 0:10? Most romantic part of the whole movie. I love how they don't stop at the wedding and instead show Naveen and Tiana working together. It reminds me of the beginning of Tarzan with his parents, only much happier. Wonderful movie. :)
Tiana worked hard all her life and didn't give up. She also didn't wait for anyone to sweep her off her feet. But she got someone in the end anyway... That's one BAMF princess.
I think they are missing something in this movie's setting... the social and ethnic themes of the era, for example. That is the Deep South in the very late 19th Century, is it?
@yourfuturequeen I think so too. I think Tiana was a lot different than the other princesses. Plus the fact that she started out as a waitress and working two jobs made it even better!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate ALL of Naveen's facial expressions?? Like when he hugged her after she bought the sugar mill, and that determined look when they were about to fix it up together!! akjshdfaksdhf BEST HUSBAND.
@Fargosis16 Lol,Charlotte became a girl who more than likely waited for the kid to grow up. if she didnt already marry someone before then. Clean ur mind up,lol.
@Batman007Edward I'm writing a book about a latino red riding hood (she's not a princess, I decided that Disney has enough of those)! :D I've also drawn her (I have no idea where the picture is, probably somewhere under all of the clutter in my room) and I draw in Disney style. Haha, I doubt that Disney would like my work though : /
@kisokushii I have to agree with that, there are SO many spoiled brats that are such annoyances in movies like this. But considering the lifestyle in which she was raised she's probably one of the kindest "movie rich kids" I've seen ((Even though its in a bit of a stupid way.))
@SyaoranLiClow I couldn't agree more! This movie was so spectacular. Such a shame that because of all the race-related controversy, a lot of people didn't go to see it in theaters.
@ninjapretender WHAT controversy was there! there are people of different races singing and dancing and being very happy together. WHAT'S THE PROBLEM :(
Don't forget rumplestintskin, just because dreamwork's has done the shrek movies doesn't mean we can't still do that story. (Can't spell his name sorry)
@cdltaug27 AMEN!! I mean she had two GORGOUS gowns, her bayou wedding/real wedding even the orange dress was cute, then this weird overly covering dress. It would have been nicer if it hadn't had such a long frilly thing.

@jakersify There's lots of stories to be made into films! :) As far as Princesses go there's The Princess and the Pea, The Light Princess, The Story of Pretty Goldilocks, and much more.
Some other good fairy tales are Thumbelina, Little Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin, etc. I'm sure Disney will make some more great films!
@jakersify The problem with disney isn't coming up with classic fairytales to redo. @jakersify Hundreds. Tam Lin, Twelve dancing princesses, hell most of the stories in the Brother's Grimm, everything from Norse and Celtic culture, all of Asia - dozens of good ones from China alone. Almost everything from 1001 Arabian Nights (Takes a lot of fairy tales to fill nearly 3 years of nights). Baba Yaga tales from Russia, Stregga Nonna from Italy . . . El Cid

@jakersify Usually Disney does adaptations of stories (like Tarzan, Treasure Island and Peter Pan) and history (Mulan and Pocahontas) ...but not necessarily fairy tales. And with the amount of imagination they have, they'd probably have a lot to choose from. I'd like to see them do more stories with male characters or multiple main characters (like siblings---eg Hansel and Gretel or groups of friends) since the focus is always so much on the Princess line. :)

@jakersify The Goose Girl! One of my favorites. I don't think there's even one movie adaptation of that story.
