The ones who are allowed to have access to them should have more advanced training than what they currently get. So when those 'missions' come up they could bring in the officers with firearms, if needed, and the advanced training. Not just your typical officer should be carrying a firearm. NO TASERS for law enforcement. Only officers with advanced training and experience should be allowed to carry firearms. This will force law enforcement to develope their communication skills and their interactions with the public. It will stop them from working from an ego and power hungry position. They will have to work on a much different level if they do not have tasers and immediate access to firearms. They would be less bullying and it would also help their public image.

The ones who are allowed to have access to them should have more advanced training than what they currently get. So when those 'missions' come up they could bring in the officers with firearms, if needed, and the advanced training. Not just your typical officer should be carrying a firearm. Look at all the 'bad' shootings done by law enforcement, those officers should not have been carrying firearms.

I wish it was a female cop who kicked my ass....I got 6 grown ass men with massive flashlights, After they left me bloddy and bruised they said they found me that way drugged out on the street (No drugs in my system even the test showed that)

NO TASERS for law enforcement. Only officers with advanced training and experience should be allowed to carry firearms. This will force law enforcement to develope their communication skills and their interactions with the public. It will stop them from working from an ego and power hungry position. They will have to work on a much different level if they do not have tasers and immediate access to firearms. They would be less bullying and it would also help their public image.

@YoureAlwaysRight I completely agree. Too many police use tasers as 'punishment' devices for giving lip, not signing parking tickets (which we don't here in Australia, we just get sent the ticket through our road traffic authorities' number plate records and can dispute it later if we like... but I believe in the US you don't HAVE to sign the ticket), or just generally because they want to bully people. Tasers don't leave bruises so they think they can use them with impunity

FYI "Law Enforcement" Counts for any officer that enforces the law, including Police Officers, Interpol, FBI, etc.

@YoureAlwaysRight and if a civilian has a firearm? the cop would be at the mercy of the civilian . i do believe that cops should have a baseball warning system where if they seem violent they should be warned and also be suspended/fired if they get extremely violent ,but removing there firearm would leave them without protection.

They might start talking and acting right toward people and not get into as many bad situations. They also would still have their vest, hopefully some common sense and would develope and all around better attitude.
