Then he got mad because I would not give him eye contact (mind you he followed me off the bus). He said something like "Im over here not over there" REALLY! ok crazy! I always find it hysterical when people pass themselves off as influential to get your attention/respect/etc. Then they act so thirsty when you prove you really don't need them. In the end it often turns out they weren't who they claim to be in the first place. Real professionals don't have to throw their weight around cause they know how to earn your respect and that of their peers in my opinion. Lisa, I came back with one after thought. Whenever someone asks to meet with you for the first time it's always best to meet with them at the studio or in their office. It gives you an opportunity to gauge that person in their professional setting. And if someone wants you to travel to their location be sure that they are paying for all of the travel and related expenses.
You know Lisa you are probably capable of hosting a talk show! Maybe you could start another channel where you interview YouTube's most talented up and coming performers. Or, Lisa fans out there, someone start a Facebook page to petition one of the networks to give Lisa her own talk show. Insist that she sing of course. That's how Betty White hosted SNL. Sometimes these odd tactics have very effective results.
Lisa, Im not sure which I like more—your stories and open honesty or your music. Well, your music of course. But I like your open honest style in these videos and it helps people connect with you much more than just appreciating your incredible singing voice. I think we all feel like youre sitting in the same room talking with us when we watch these. Good for you! Don't just sign with anyone and its good to see you stand up for yourself and not get pressured into something that you could regret later on.
I have a good example: If you want to know, what this business can do to you, look at Micheal Jackson. The Business killed him. And you shouldn't forget that his father (I'll never forget what he did to him) also treated him like that just for the business/the money. Michael had no normal childhood and tried to live the rest of his life like a child. People didn't understand that, they just saw a man behaiving "strangely" and blaimed him for things he never did. It just fitted to his lifestyle.
He's not the only guy in this business acting like that... I read a lot and met some of those guys. They are just terrible, seeing you as a tool to make some money with. They don't see the passion, they don't understand what music is.

I have a good example: If you want to know, what this business can do to you, look at Micheal Jackson. The Business killed him. And you shouldn't forget that his father (I'll never forget what he did to him) also treated him like that just for the business/the money. Michael had no normal childhood and tried to live the rest of his life like a child. People didn't understand that, they just saw a man behaiving "strangely" and blaimed him for things he never did. It just fitted to his lifestyle.

He's not the only guy in this business acting like that... I read a lot and met some of those guys. They are just terrible, seeing you as a tool to make some money with. They don't see the passion, they don't understand what music is.

People in the music business are soooo crazy and like this one there are shady ones too! I had a guy come to me about writing together, he co-wrote a couple number one hits & he was cool at first but then he started hitting on me & never talked about music, and then he freaked out when i basically told him i wasn't comfortable with him doing that and he was all like ur gonna regret this blah blah & then he freaked when i said i told my manager i was talking to him. i ended all contacts with him
