Re the lugs, they are in that position because if they weren't your iPad will drop out, infect with the replacement They have sent to me , it's the same problem. . .don't purchase.

I was given this case as a present, within 9 months the iPad was ready to fall out, the lugs on the right hand side are the problem, they wear out through use and the design is faulty ,don't buy until re re design or you will loose your iPad ! They have replaced mine with an identical one , guess it's only time before they realise.

I have the same case but the straps on mine are smaller and don't interfere with any of the things mentioned in the video. They most likely updated it after realizing that they f'd up

I have this case as a matter of fact I'm posting the comment while my iPad is in it. I don't have problems with it covering my speaker port or gyroscope locker. But it is covering my microphone but I don't use it much so.....

This is the correct way to review this iPad case. Thanks for this review. It looks really nice and I bet it has some protection points, BUT the straps cover a lot of things that you may use frequently. I probably won't be getting this case. It's not "perfect" fir the iPad. Griffen, please keep working on it.

I have the same case, and non of the straps cover the buttons or speakers. I think yours is a mal-produced item

They have redesigned the 4 straps so they no longer block the buttons. I just bought a canvas one today at walmart.

I have this and the strap blocking the rotation lock is annoying. FFFFFUUUUUU!!!! that's my only concern... as well as the leather strip on the middle left panel (near the card slots) will leave a mark on your ipad : (

Shitty case in my opinion. Cant believe griffin is charging 50 bucks for the case and cant manage not to cover the pprts and stuff. I bought a leather folio case of ebay that came with sync cable,charger and car charger. It was only 15 bucks and looks much better than this crap, on the ebay case it even has a little stand on the back so that u can tilt the ipad

@WhiteFireDK same here..i watched the video and then decided not to buy it...but it turned out i bought it anyways because of the availability..

and to be honest..that fact that the rotation-switch is blocked a little bit is almost no problem at all. Same with the Mic! I also tested the sound with and without strap..again: no problem at all!

With the ipad in a case you notice that being able to take the device out quickly is very important..and it does that very well!

I'm happy i bought it! 9/10

Anyone think its worth getting the Passport if you already have the Sleeve (maybe I myself know of my needs the best)? :D . What about the quality of the Passport? Does it hold up in all its stitchings?

horrible ipad case. didnt think about anything. just chuck an ipad in the case and not care about making the speakers, mic, rotation lock free.

Griffin needs to go back to the drawing board on this case. The fact that it blocks the microphone and the screen lock is unacceptable and is the main reason I wouldn't buy it. Flawed design.

That strap doesn't seem long lasting. Seems like it could get loose very easily after some use. Gotta agree with @larrygreenberg with the re-dedesign needed. Thanks for the review Mike.
