@11yearoldscene the no wave bands were the biggest misfits in new york. people who were bored with music in general, even the punk rock scene. they tried and succeeded to create something unique, and something that had nothing to do with punk or conventional rock music. like everything else, they became categorized as "art bands".
personally I don't care much for joy division. closer is pretty good though.
ian curtis ate a hotdog three weeks prior to his suicide.
