@inallseiriousness Mainly cause they are expensive to drive per mile and miles really kill the value. It is about $3 per mile to drive and at about 10 miles it will eat a gallon of gas, about $35 (or more) per every 10 miles. You drive 100 miles and it cost $350 just for gas and depreciation. Therefore, the majority of these cars are saved for special occasions and such. They're not a cheap toy by a long shot, but totally worth it ; )

@inallseiriousness Actually, most people that have these types of cars have money, but wouldn't be multi-million'airs. If you look at exotic vehicles that are commonly for sale in the market place, they can have 3 to 5 different owners with only 10-20K miles total on the car. If they were really that rich to own and just drive one everywhere, then it would have a heck of a lot more miles than that for that many owners. For example there is 2010 458 italia on ebay, 2K miles and 3 owners.

@CopperheadViper Haha, I have driven plenty of Vettes and currently a relative of mine has a C6 Z06 that I drive regularly. Outside of the LS engines, there is nothing that I enjoy of the vette. Now, I have driven Lambos and Ferraris and there just is no comparison, hands down better sports cars. You do get what you pay for. I don't buy hype, I own experience. :)

@CopperheadViper I guess if you're one of the 'paper drivers' that quote stats. There is no replacement for actually getting in and driving one and getting a true overall feel for the car. On the streets, I'm not racing for trophies, I want a all around experience. If you just want speed that can be done cheap. my friend has a Evo stripped out that does low 9's in the quarter all day long, for 10's of thousands dollars less. The car sucks balls to drive around in and enjoy just driving though.

@TheTruthHurtsYup Ya. Driving a Vette is kinda like riding on a bull with its nuts in a vice. That's the fun part about it. That's why they are so popular. The ZR1 is purely made for performance. It dosen't have fancy interior, but it can hit 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. It's got the Chevy Colbalt dashbord, but its lap times on the Nurburgring that make Lambos, Ferarris and Porsches look like childrens toys. Numbers don't lie.

@CopperheadViper Getting a ZR1 to do 0-60 in 3.3 is like a feat with everything having to be perfect. Getting a AWD car like say the Superleggera which has a paper stat of 0-60 time of 3.4seconds will be much easier. In dead stop dragging, I would say the Superleggera would easily and consistently beat a ZR1 all day long because of the far improved grip off the line. Even then, my friends Evo would destroy them both for far less money invested and a much better sleeper rocket.

@CopperheadViper The ZR1 is a forced induction motor vs. a all motor V10. Not to mention it has AWD which adds some weight and extra hp losses. To me, they are really just two different cars, I was mainly just comparing the vettes goofy rear end to a equally quick AWD car that just plants and goes better in normal road conditions and varying temperatures ect. Some cars need to be professionally driven to be very quick, others can just be driven very quick by regular folks.

It feels more rewarding when you really do master driving one. Some people like to live life on the edge. Some people don't. I know I'm not going to change your mind about Lambos. But all I ask of you, is to meerely respect the ZR1 for it's contribution to the supercar community.
