  • Have you read their annual report? They are not a 'small unit' if they spend over $11 million on "employee expenses".

This isn't about what the RSPCA do to the animals in their care, it's about what little money they spend on taking care of animals in the first place.

  • aw cmon, dont be so hard on them, they are not governmenr sponsered and they are seriously just a small unit.

  • even PETA kill 2/3's of the animals that go thru their shelters, reducing animal suffering is a complex issue and getting worked up about "pro life" and symbolism is a major turn off . 98% of the population DO NOT want to be veg/vegan so we need to focus on stopping animal cruelty/factory faming as a way of responsible activism not getting work up about a bit of egg white in ur food, thats just elitist propaganda.

  • @kungfutofu85 'even PETA' is a ridiculous excuse. Any animal rights activist worth their salt abhors PETA. They are a shambolic organisation that have sadly become symbiotic with animal rights.

  • The laws don't support people that have the space, money and love to care for needy animals. The laws need to change so the RSPCA has no leg to stand on when they try and take animals away from animal lovers to make their annual report look like they're actually doing something.

They're all about facts and figures, not animals lives.

  • I think some of you are missing the point. This is about showing what the RSPCA is really about, abusing animals for profit and selling meat when saying they protect ALL animals, aparently not the ones on the grill... Why does the RSPCA choose which animals to eat and which to pat? "For ALL creatures great and small" doesn't include pork, beef, chicken, and abusing ducks for show.

The text in this video is taken from the RSPCA annual report. I don't want money, I want to educate.

  • oh for gawd sakes. i'm not one for animal cruelty of course, but it's not as easy as it sounds to give every animal 5 star service. for example, the chicken issue. the chickens are killed so young because of the sheer amount of chicken meat we consume. we complain about high prices in the supermarkets. to give them a better life means the prices would rise even higher. it's practically impossible to please everyone. at least the RSPCA is trying to do SOMETHING.

  • Thank You! Someone is on the same page as me.

  • eventually 1 poor kitten got ran over and i took the other 1 on when rspca said u cn tke ownership cheeky! i would have taken them earlier had stupid neighbour dmitted she didnt wnt em

  • we called the rspca to say we had been feeding em n to take em they said they look healthy so i said so u wait till they r half dying? basically yes never will i ever call them again and uckily my othe rneighbours had an old toilet like victorian days toilet in their garden with no door were the two would regularly take shelter

  • rspca make me sick! a neighbour of mine had an abusive boyfriend and he wouldnt let her two kittens stay and she is very secretive i dnt knw police r always checking he house out but anyway these two kittens were out day n night yet she claimed cos she had her kids taken off her they were her only companions n loved em and all that crap,

  • I agree that it is wrong in the choice of companies that they get their funding from, but i think it is unfair that you are going on about how they should be vegans. I know i sound mean. It is a fact of life that animals eat other animals, like bears and salmon. But saying that people who help animals in household situations etc, should all be vegans is very drastic. That would be like saying cats can only eat cat food, and not mice. Humans naturally eat meat.

  • (I do not have anything against vegans, I think it wrong to force this onto RSPCA workers when they have a choice)

  • Humans naturally eat meat? Please explain to me how the average human household eating meat is natural. Explain the natural ways they obtain and prepare the animals they eat. Please.

  • The 'RSPCA' have NO RIGHT being involved in the promotion of farming as there is NO FARM that is absolutely cruelty free - the work of the rspca is to enforce laws, stop suffering NOT PROMOTING FREE RANGE OR FARMING of any sort ! They should be promoting a cruelty free lifestyle and the only one that is - is by being vegan - the products out there are wonderful - I don't miss any animal products at all !

  • Thanks for making this well researched video that showed some of the contradictions in the RSPCA's policies and practice. The dog herding of the ducks was terrible, and it is stupid that they take money from poultry and pork companies.

  • Excellent vid. Thx for helping get the truth out there.

  • There is a great deal of information on the internet that outlines Pace Farms and its egg production. If you google "Pace Farms" then numerous animal lib sites come up as well as news reports on various government openings of battery farms. Hope this helps!
