This was my favorite cartoon when I was ten I remember watching this cartoon when I was In the hospital very sick. Growing up I always wanted a dog like that and three days ago I rescued a Great Pyrenees pure breed from the Animal shelter shes the sweetest thing ever, I'm shock that someone would ever give her up.

I bought all the episodes in spanish in a walmart in northern mexico for like 12 bucks, all episodes and in such perfect clarity, i used to watch them in latin america spanish so it was perfect. Not to insult anyone but this english version is missing a lot of emotion on the voices.

Lord I loved this show when I was a kid. I had no idea it was an anime at the time, and vividly remembering being surprised when they story had an actual ending (as I still remember what happened in the final episodes), and didn't just keep going on forever. It was the first cartoon I remember ever having an ending, (except for animated movies of course). This show is probably one of the reasons I love anime to this day.

Wow, I saw this when I was 5 or 6. I remember the music, imagery, and especially how beautiful they made Belle and her mannerisms. I remember asking friends if they ever saw this and no one had....it came on Nickelodeon before "The City of Gold" When I saw the ender shot I had to laugh and say, yeah I remember!

But in all seriousness, thanks for posting this. I was an 80's nick kid just like a lot of others. This show, The Little Prince, Pinwheel, Mysterious Cities of Gold, Little Koala, Noozles, Today's Special, Mister Wizard, Danger Mouse, Banana Man...that channel ruled my childhood outside of Saturday mornings. I do remember Sebastian eventually finding his mother, but not much else in between. Love to see the whole series again one day.

Poly - I have the series on VHS, but the first tape is messed up, which could be why part 1 is not listed on youtube. I got it from a guy who was selling them on ebay. saying they are official copies. yeah right, but i plan to put them onto dvd just so they don't deteriorate any more.

Newfoundland - although not a great pyraneese, we named him Sebastian. This show was amazing to me back when I was little...the only dog I'll ever own is a Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog...I've had her for almost 8 years now...and her name is of coarse Belle. How many people own a Pyrenees because of this French cartoon...? A lot of people have forgotten this or have never heard of it. It has never been released from the producers to DVD or anything so it's great to see these on YouTube...
