  • Margaret Prescott, take a bow!!

  • Thank you very much for adding this very good song and video. Have added to my favourites. If you look through my uploads, a very good Welsh band was Airwaves and their single 'So Hard Living With You'. You might consider adding it to your Welsh playlist. All the best, Steve

  • @mattypark Harrowing indeed. The cruelty we do to each other in desperate times in the name of 'entertainment'

  • This song is an enduring tribute to the stength of the human spirit.

A favorite of my since I was a much younger man and less atuned to the challenges of life.

  • Yes thanks to Mr Bruce, I cant stop listening to this nor playing pop master.

    Andy. :-D

  • I'd forgotten about this till I heard it on the radio yesterday, Craking piece of music.

  • @Holyheadian same here on radio 2 kenneth bruce!

  • They also had a hit called "Lady Lo" I used to own the record and liked it as much as this one

  • @gottselig2004 ''Ladee-Lo'' is a lovely song, and is on the band's debut album ''Downtown Tonight'', which features some great tunes and is well worth getting a copy. I saw Racing Cars at Portsmouth Guildhall in the late '70's, and they were very good live (they were the support act to Gordon Giltrap - remember him?) Racing Cars did make a second album, but I guess it didn't sell too well? Not the most fashionable band amidst the Punk explosion of the time!

  • If you like this you should try Ancient Grease.

  • Brilliant! A Masterpiece.

  • I saw these guys in Ipswitch when I was stationed over in England . Good show!

  • @123Scears123

  • @malc50 you were fortunate.....

  • Ive always liked this song, but what is it about...shooting horses??

  • No it's about 1930s dance marathons in the US depression. The last couple dancing win but they go through hell trying to stay on their feet for 24 hours.
