my aunt has no arms, she doesn't even have shoulders. I'm pretty used to this in every day life. She has to use her feet more than this guy though.

Does Jake have Bilateral (both sides) PFFD? Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency. This would also explain the upper limb deformities.

I also have bilateral PFFD, and am missing half my left arm & also I'm a through knee amputee on my right leg so since 12 i cruise 24/7 in a wheelchair.

Big time bummer about the sedated , radioactive mom...but you really can't pick and choose who gives birth to you or who raises you for that matter, but it seems like all is turning out okay.

As parents the best you can do is hope your kids figure out who they are and what they want out of life, then convince them they can have that if they work for it...how'd your parents do on that? LOL

...for Jake the idea is to utilize his most productive physical and mental asset, his mouth.

He needs to go for something that is all about being a mouth piece, like a lawyer for example.

Another good call might be a social worker, that a good job if someone can empathize and work with people...maybe even counseling, big market in that too.

...everyone is tweaked these days.

He'll find his niche.

From what I've seen jake's sketches are amazing. His real asset isn't his mouth. but his visualization skills and his ability to exceed where most people fail. And while he may veer off track at times. He has never been the one to give up on others. He could somehow always see the good in people. If only he hadn't given up on himself so easily.
