Why you study in Germany? I mean, Americans always say "we are better than any other nation in the world","Everything is better in the States". Especially what i know from your soldiers is at every opportunity, they scoff at us Germans.
@Florian112RE You realize that an extremely large majority of Caucasian Americans are of German descent?
Honestly, I think Americans generally have warmer personalities than most. Ask anyone who travels a lot and they will agree. Also, it is not arrogance or the thought of being better, its just patriotism.
Please quit trying to cause debate and enjoy the fact that a lot of Americans are interested in learning about German culture :)

@jsullivan93 oh, cool. das freut mich. mich macht das immer so traurig, wenn ich unter irgendwelchen videos nur so fiese kommentare, von wegen alle deutschen sind nazis und so, lese. deswegen finde ich es schön, wenn menschen aus anderen ländern sich in deutschland wohl fühlen und solche vorurteile nicht bestätigen können.

Allmählich lerne ich Deutsch...ich habe Sütterlinschrift gelernt. Ich will Deutschland besuchen. Bald. Ich mag auch Rammstein. Die Geschichte ist auch sehr interessant.
When I think of Germany I think of influence--and in a great way. Theology, philosophy, technology, etc. Also, power.
@KierkegaardUWSP Freut mich dass du Deutschland besuchen kommen möchtest :) Darf ich fragen warum du Sütterlinschrift gelernt hast? Da kommt glaube ich nicht jeder Deutsch-Student drauf. Ich wünschte aber ich könnte Sütterlin lesen, ich kann es nur ein bisschen. :(

@Joshw124 Super fun! If you're considering an exchange year at all I would reccomend it 100%. Definitley the greatest experience of my life. There's really no need to be nervous about the people, but I understand with host families. Most of them are really awesome though, so I'd so go for it!
