Alright fellows! That was a great video! Best looking 1986, 1997, and 2005-2007. Best engine 1999.5 to 2000 7.3 with the forged internals. Best overall package the 2011 Scorpion. I won a 2000 F350 Lariat supercab SRW longbed SRW 4x4 and the new Scorpion is the only thing that might top it. The 6.0's and 6.4's neve were given a full design development and were basically 1/2 baked designs. One man's opinion!

Think you missed one. 1994 had a 7.3L IDI turbodiesel. I think your video said "1994 7.3L Powerstroke". But the powerstroke monniker wasn't used until the engine went fully direct injection...usually considered to be the 1995 model year.

Can't go wrong with an old 6.9, I have an 1986 6.9 with a four speed and even though I wouldnt mind having a Powerstroke I wouldn't give up my 6.9. It might not be able to compare to the new diesels but it's still a good diesel. I'd hook up to a 6.2 anyday.

i love fords we have an 02 f250 but my dad bought an 05 f550 its the worst truck we have aver driven its because of the 6.0 instead of 7.3. i havent driven the new 6.4 but i hear its awsome. it has a big reputation to beat .the 7.3 was one of the best

Nice!! And the 2005 F-550's look awesome, but their engines suck. I rode in a 2008 F-450 6.4L, and it was pretty strong.. i might be able to take on the 7.3L. But the 7.3L Still remains top dog!

Nice vid. Dont forget that the 6.9 is not a true powerstroke because the 6.9 was a ford built inhouse diesel. The only Pstroke I wouldnt touch is the 6.0, way way to many problems. A little bit of info for you seeing that you are diehard ford. They are going back to inhouse diesels. Navistar and ford are done. Look out in about 1-3 years for the 6.7 codenamed Scorpion diesel. Close to 400hp, 700ft.lbs. Also the inhouse 4.4 for the 150 and possibly 250 is coming, 340hp, 440ft.lbs.

Yes. I know all about the Ford and Navistar issue. I followed the story very often. They were in a 1.3 million dollar lawsuit all becuase of the crappy 6.0L. And like I said in the reply comment above this comment that i made 3 weeks ago, I have heard of the 6.7L Scorpion Diesel. I didnt know that it was pushing 400hp and 700ft.lbs.! That will Kill Chevy's Duramax!!!! Thanks again.

Thanks. Yea i miss the 7.3L very badly. I'm not sure id they did fix that problem with the flame problem with the new Powerstroke Diesel 6.4L. I know Navistar stopped producing the 6.4L for Ford, being that they had a 1.3 million lawsuit with them about the previous and unsucessful 6.0L. In 2011 they are coming out with a 6.7L Scorpion Diesel for the Super-Duty. It was actually released and photos were taken of the 6.7L Scorpion in the Super-Duty. It was in the last issue of Four Wheeler Mag.

Cummins is a good engine, I've got one in my my road tractor; However, I stand by my International (powerstroke) engine in my pickup. No need to start a hissy fit between Ford, Dodge, or Chevy.

Yeah! I did like the 6.0L The only problem was in 2005-2007 had the Torqshift and they blew the tranies. But the engine itself is good. You can really hear the turbo whistle in them. SCREW DURRRRRRR-MAX AND CUMMINS! POWERSTROKE ALL THE WAY! We got 102,200miles on our Super-Duty to this day. Its a 2002 7.3L

thanks. one of my buddys has a 99 ford F-350 7.3 PowerStroke and hes got a 160 hp chip 5 in banks exhaust, AFE intake the whole deal, and a banks intercooler, and a garrett ball bearing turbo. its a bad mother. its putting out close to 600hp and close to 900 foot pounds of tq!!! next time i see him ill take a vid of it.
