@bezoro2008 You said "Thats why i dont buy Intel", you where talking about Intel, and 5 of all the Intel PCs i had had no problem with temperature on stock cooler.
i need a new fan for my cpu amd 970. i would like a water cooling cpu fan. i was looking at this or the XIGMATEK AIO-S80DP. are they better then a top modle fan or what i dont know anything about water cooling .
@frenlyguy95 A few things. This cooler struggles with the heat of I7s. The fan is only 1700rpm and rated at 50 cfm. That combined with such a small radiator means it just can't pull enough heat out.
This guys reviews are bogus. None of the respectable pc performance website reviewers could get the temps this guy claims with 4.0 overclocks. Your temps are about where this thing sits with most set ups.
Someone that has this cooler with a Q6600 please please please tell me how high can I go with it? I got a Coolmaster 690 case with a 120mm vent blowing on the gpu, a front 120mm vent and a rear 120mm vent to take out air. If I get this cooler, will it outperform the coolermaster V6 or V8? And will I be able to go from 2.4ghz to 3.2?? My case doesn't get alot of air because it's under my desk but it has enough space I'd say... so will it go to 3.2 without any risks? =S
Will this thing fit an AMD 754 socket? All I see mentioned is AM2/+/AM3 compatibility, and that's definitely not "every AMD socket" compatibility like you mentioned.
@Chandlermaki Thanks for letting me know. Rodney should really change the review by saying "supports only AM2 and newer sockets", instead of the bullshit "fits all AMD-based motherboards" that he's spouting.
How would the Asetek 570LX LCLC(240mm) compare to this? I know Corsair adds some technologies to their 120mm cooling to make it better than the Asetek 510LC(120mm). I'm getting it from a site that builds the computer for you and they don't have this option for cooling, only Asetek.
I got a quick question. I got one of these combined with an I7 930 at 3.8ghz and 1.22 volts. It's stable but it idles at 39 celcius and loads at 75 ish with prime 95 and linX. I am using a little spot of arctic silver 5 TIM in the middle of the CPU spread by the pressure of the H50 alone. I replaced the TIM already and the temps didn't change. Any idea why i'm so far from your results?
@FatFuckRecherche did you give it time to break in? A guy posted a review on newegg and said it took a little over a week (as far as I recall) for the paste to properly settle and then he had significant temp drops.
OK, I have one question, at 1:47 he says it also comes with a thin cote of thermal compound, is it already applyed on it or do I have to apply it, and secondly do I have to apply more thermal compound on my CPU or will the thin cote one do the job plenty enough? Thx
I actually think this should be considered a 100% kickass product, its affordable water cooling for your cpu, its low profile, quiet, and cools exceptionally well and the water never needs to be refilled or anything like that, but hey thats just my opinion
If the radiator needs to be at a fan taking IN air to cool it, should I extend the tubes to reach the fans at the front of my Antec 920 so correct air flow is retained?
If the tubes are long enough and if it fits then YES, and the tubes are long enough for the HAF 932 ;)
The fan blows in cool air from outside into the case to cool the radiator. So if you put it in the top you should have an exhaust fan in the back of the case.
@cisco760ca Depends on what you do consider big? It will be less noisy & the performance will increase but that does only matter if you are going for a CPU clock speed about at least (~)4Ghz
@XarXes3675 well i did get the corsair h50 and all i can say is dammm big differance in cooling power . im at 3.8 and its at 32 C . when im gonna go gamming i put it to 4.2 on my eleet overclocker software and its at 35 idle and 45 load.
Im pretty sure these temps are off What do you use to monitor your temps? I have a x58 board and i7 920 and with a stock cooler the idel temps are more like 44C at stock speed not 4ghz that has to either be a typo or your readings are off.
Er you know the fan at the back, it draws IN air sooo does that screw up the airflow in the case? because don't all the fans in a normal case bring cool air in from the front.
Just wondering because im looking to get one of these
Are you for real? Sounds like a troll to me...but just in case...NO a radiator doesn't emit radiation...check out the dictionary online and put in Radiator to see what a radiator does...
@klote2314 Joking about what? Was that aimed at oryfoxer? If it was...I can confirm that I run a 920 at 4.2 Ghz, and idle temperature is still well below 40c! :)
Mine won't install. The top right screw and that silver thing that goes underneath the motherboard, through the backplate just screws in on an angle and i can't install it on my i7! Also, when I try to put the actual "waterblock" on, i twist but it does nothing. help please lol.
Hmm, i will check a bit later because my evga X58 classified isnt botting at all. this is a new system. It says F6 then F3 and restars, over and over. IDK wuts wrong. BTW my corsair H50 doesnt come with those big silver screws for mounting it, it comes with small black screws, wtf?
The screws for the H50? NOPE =( Those are what i need. It only came with like 5 or 6 (need 4) little black screws :S Does anyone know where i can get the accessories for the installation of the

What I'm wondering is how it would compare to the Prolimatech Megahalems and could it keep a Q6600 overclocked to 3.6, maybe even 3.8 GHz cool, not going over °70 under full load?
Just installed one of these on an Asus P6T Deluxe with an i7 920. It has exceeded expectations. OCed to 3.8Ghz, I'm idling at 32-36C (stock cooler was giving 46C at idle with CPU at 2.66Gz) and under real-world use, temps don't exceed 55C. I also have it venting out of the case rather contrary to manufacturer recommendations. This is keeping case temps very cool. I have 2 front mounted , and one side mount 120s drawing in air, and a 230mm on the top pulling warn air out of an Antec 902.
I have the exact same case and CPU and motherboard (V2 version though). Except I have a Ultra 120 Extreme. What are all your 4-core temps under idle and load (prime 95, small FFT's)?
Does anyone know how this cooler performs with two HIGH FLOW 120's like the 3,000 rpm fans from scythe or other high cfm fans perform with this cooler.
Performance doesn't improve over 2000 RPMs. Infact, going from 1600 to 2000 RPM is only 1C lower. Although you WILL see a 6C improvement with dual 120mm 1600 RPM fans in push pull under load only. Dual fans on idle is the same temp as a single fan.
Great review Rodney, i have a question though. I have heard that it works better to mount the fan as an intake rather than an exaust. what kind of comparison does mounting the fan as an exaust
Wish he had titled this video Asetek LCLC as I would have found it much sooner. This is a commonly offered water cooler at Cyberpowerpc, Ibuypower and Digital Storms, yet the reviews of this cooler are terribly hard to find. So glad I discovered this one! Looks like a very good cooler. Might be going with this one after all =D
Just like to say thanks for all the video reviews, which are well presented & very informative.
Could you please answer me this question, i am thinking of purchasing the Lancool Dragon-Lord PC-K62 Mid Tower Case. will the Corsair H50 CPU cooler install into this case?
Im looking for a quiet solution, as i simply cannot listen to my Zalman 9700 any longer, despite the fact that i have Q-Fan turned on in BIOS. It keeps spooling up and down, and it just goes on my nerves. This product looks like the one im gonna go with, however i don't know much about liquid/water cooling. Won't i have to replace the liquid over time, or water? What is the lifespan of such a system?

I got the Corsair H50 CPU Cooler and on idle I got it at 37 degrees Celsius. I OC my intel i7 965 Extreme Edition to 3895 Mhz. It runs much better than Coolit Domino ALC.
@frenlyguy95 Well that could be the reason. Just replace it with a proper fan or maybe a Delta and the problem will be fine! ;)

best thing to do would be to order the H50 cooler and first try if it fits the 1156 socket .
ihad to order an extra 1156 bracket at the store because the store clerk told me so.
but later i didnt notice much difference .
so first try the H50 on 1156 socket ,if you have problems with the screw holes .
then you can order another 1156 bracket for around 4 euro .
but ill bet i was tricked in buying it for nothing .
cause i still cant figure out ,much difference.

not without any risks ,thats the only thing i can tell for sure .
if it will out perform your previous cooler ,i dunno

but when you overclock that high ,it depemds on the cpu and the rest of the system.

I have the exact same case and CPU and motherboard (V2 version though). Except I have a Ultra 120 Extreme. What are all your 4-core temps under idle and load (prime 95, small FFT's)?
h2h2h2h2 2 years ago
Does anyone know how this cooler performs with two HIGH FLOW 120's like the 3,000 rpm fans from scythe or other high cfm fans perform with this cooler.
traingp7 2 years ago

Could you please answer me this question, i am thinking of purchasing the Lancool Dragon-Lord PC-K62 Mid Tower Case. will the Corsair H50 CPU cooler install into this case?
sam020885 2 years ago
Look up "Corsair H50" and sort by most recent. Someone has a pretty sick setup with that case and the H50.

dose this cooler fit on a AMD Phenom 2 x4 CPU ???

is this water cooler good???

Im looking for a quiet solution, as i simply cannot listen to my Zalman 9700 any longer, despite the fact that i have Q-Fan turned on in BIOS. It keeps spooling up and down, and it just goes on my nerves. This product looks like the one im gonna go with, however i don't know much about liquid/water cooling. Won't i have to replace the liquid over time, or water? What is the lifespan of such a system?

He has a wife? Seriously though, that was uncalled for. Everybody knows that fat, hairy, middle aged men are the best and most reliable source of tech information.

The idle temp is 38 on all cores. This is done while the Intel 965 i7 is OC at 3896 Mhz
mannyfit75 2 years ago
On Prime 95 Test. Max temperature is 82 degrees Celsius after one hour of testing.
mannyfit75 2 years ago
geez, i got distracted with this video...while overclocking my cpu through E-leet..... supposed to be monitoring temps...stupid stupid stupid
vinak369 2 years ago
The H50 runs fine on mine. Keeps my i7 Intel 965 Extreme Edition at a comfortable 39, 38,37, 39 degrees Celsius and it is OC at 3.8 Ghz.

This cooler just seems too good to be true !
Those pipes aren't 35mm Dia though. Maybe you meant 35cm long, or maybe you misread and they're 8.5mm Dia ?

Ignore this, get the CoolIT Freezone Elite :]
acer0169 2 years ago
Coolit Freezone Elite is expensive. If you can buy it, go for it.
mannyfit75 2 years ago
Yeah, cheapest I found was £195(GBP).
It's a lot of money when my proessor will be like £80(GBP) less than that or something around that area.
acer0169 2 years ago
I got the Corsair H50 CPU Cooler and on idle I got it at 37 degrees Celsius. I OC my intel i7 965 Extreme Edition to 3895 Mhz. It runs much better than Coolit Domino ALC.

I'm really digging these self contained water coolers. They really lower the temperature, are compact and are low priced too. Great item!

I don't think this is awesome for some overclocking cause your northbridge, southbridge and mosfets are still passive or air cooled.
This is still a badass solution for noise. I'm using Noctua fans, my PC is silent as f**k! :)
TakeMeDown2FunkyT0wn 2 years ago
this or xigmatek DK, or thor ???
i need a good cpu cooler cuz i want to OC my E5200 to 4ghz 24/7

DK, Vendetta 2, or Mugen 2
The DK and Mugen 2 come with backplates, the Vendetta 2 does not, however the Vendetta 2 performs slightly better than the other 2.

So this is better then (for example) a Cooler master v8 ?
chrisleijssen 2 years ago
It is pretty much on par, low end watercooling is about the same as high end aircooling but with alot less noise.
