  • You shouldn't wash the rice with the rice cooker pot. It'll wear out the rice cooker pot faster. ;P if you cooked your rice with the same water you washed the rice with then you didn't really wash it!

  • Thank you for the tutorial. That's the way that I eat mine! You might want to do a follow up video with instructions on how to eat them because I've seen many people stick the whole thing in their mouth (OUCH!) or puncture the dumpling, losing all that delicious pork goodness. Your mom must be so proud. Your pronunciation is much better than mine.  I have the vocabulary, but I sound like a jook sing. =(

  • @TheNekko888 ok, you pick it up at the side of the bun with the chopsticks, hold it over a spoon just in case it rips, bite a bit of the skin, drink the soup inside, then eat it. That is how my mom showed me and she is canto, i guess you can just eat it but it definitely might burn your tongue and you won't be able to drink the soup by itself because the whole hype about xiao long bao (in mando) is the soup inside :D

  • u can just steam it normally in a metal pan, with water and you put a small stand in it to keep it out of the water. the rice is optional. You can dip it in soy sauce and fresh ginger strips(really tiny strips).

    I made myself a t-shirt that says 'no one knows I'm white' [in Chinese] and other various things like that. Just roll with it.

  • Love your channel - but two corrections on this one. The dumplings have "soup" inside, not "juice," and to make them correctly, put the dumplings in the steamer on a slice of carrot to keep them from sticking to the bottom of the steamer plate.
