The film version of this is much better than the book. In the book he's neighbors with Tom Cruise and he dates a variety of women, whereas in the movie they combine all those into Courtney Rawlinson's character, which is better. He also does a lot more killings in the book which are far more graphic than in the movie. And the worst part about the book is they have several chapters just on what albums he bought and what he's wearing in explicit detail. So it tends to ramble on.

well the investagator said that his college who went to london was alive and actually in london. So Christian Bale was imagining murdering him we have to assume. And we have no idea if hes been actually saying and doing these things or imagines them, he's pretty much insane. And he as well as the audience has no idea what he has or hasnt really done
