@RigorMortis203 I wouldn't recommend the Death Metal, but the other two should be ok. There's much better pedals out there though - the blackstar ht pedals are amazing, but more expensive

on the original recording, James and Kirk play the riff from 00:31 to 00:58 with fourths, not power chords, the notes are the same, so it doesn't really matter, but it's the way it's played on the original recording

an eletric guitar is only as good as its pickups the pickups make the guitar.

Wrong. Wood density, string quality and the quality of the guitar neck all effect the sound of the guitar, not just the pickups. Even small things like the coating on the wood can make a difference in sound.

In the first part of the verse, you play power chords, right? I play like what you play during the pre-chorus.. With the two odd chords on the 5th and 7th frets, but on the A and D strings.
