upon a 3rd viewing, i noted that he is peddling excessively and unnecessarily.is he afraid it's going to die on him, or is he running the vacuum advance? when i was drag racing, i blocked it and ran a full 28 degrees. the constant peddling is bad on all internal engine part. i must say though...he put on a pretty good show.

for those of you with a higher education. what would be the required power ratio, front to rear to achieve that kind of air considering o.a. weight/ horsepower and yet complete a controlled landing at speed, regain total control to effect a second jump without incident? obviously aerodynamics aren't a factor. but 4-wheel steering and 2 solid axles could be. do you think that the mid-engine configuration could be a factor? fact is... i've had one on one experience with monster trucks. so i know.

@jacklazzell I would think that a mid-engine steup would be a major factor, along with a few adjustable considerations, such as gear ratio, shock valving, and tire pressure. Each and every driver has their own theories and techniques.
