@matt2fresh84 - you're dead on with most of those, but The Giant (Big Show) got a huge push from the beginning with WCW before jumping ship, and Rey Mysterio was the big star of the cruiserweight division and stayed with the company until the end, even being unmasked at one point. in fact he didn't come to WWE until a couple of years after WCW was bought. plus you can't really count Edge, he was never under contract he just had a tryout match, if I'm not mistaken

Wow! Its really weird to see how far Triple H came from this gimmick. It wasn't that Jean Paul Levesque was such a bad gimmick it just wasn't used proper enough for fans to really care. They didn't try any kind of serious storyline to make him significant. Him bailing for the WWF to be Hunter Hearst Helmsley was the best business and personal decision of his life. Now he is a 13 time world champ, a member of the WWE front office and married to Vince's daughter with 3 daughters.
