NHL 08 One-on-One Guide (with Datsyuk move)

The sidestep is the only one I have managed to do consistently. I did one through the legs once and the puck ended up on the opposing goalie's stick just before I smacked it off of it between his legs into goal.

Is there an easy way to record replays?

I need these moves, what's a shortcut to mastering them?

Cool video, but that's a toe drag with a forehand shot (as opposed to the normal toe drag, which most players turn into a backhander). Datsyuk fakes a shot then drags it with the back of his blade while cutting across the goalmouth. Good stuff, but you just can't copy Pavel :D

i am probly gona sound like an idiot but here it goes... for some reason i have no clue how to change goalies in game i just cant find the option... so if my goalie is tired and letting in 20 goals i cant change unless i exit the game completly

i had the same problem when i started. pause the game (duh) the go to team options, edit lines, and look for the goalies when you edit the lines

pause the game->team managment->edit lines-> press L1 or R1 until you find the goalies and you switch from there.

I don't know what's wrong with the rest of you, that's about as close to Datsyuk's move as you're ever gonna get on a video game. I learned a way to shoot a wrist shot that glitches the game. The puck will carry on your stick til about 3-4 feet in the air, then it shoots out headed for the corner. But right when it reaches the far edge of the goal, it turns straight and goes right past the goalie. I destroy people in shootouts with it, but I can only get it perfect with right handed shots.

Oh, and on a side note, I almost hit the Derick Brassard deke he plastered Carey Price with perfectly. I did the outside, inside (shot fake), outside and I drove Chris Mason about halfway across his net, but then I shot the puck and caught post. RAWR I was so mad.

moves are the same in 09 as 08 i believe...although i didnt know you could do the spin-o-rama in 08! and ive played 08 for a while. the flip dump is RB (360)...hold it and push up on the right stick. if you just hit RB and release it will do a saucer pass.

did u dress ur players yet if u didnt this is how u do it and then u can play then in ur lines. go to line management click on any player go to the player that u want to dress and click "X" next on him to dress him. I hope that helps u.

it turns that colour becuz it means that thats where the left stick and right stick are for doing the move. it locks up. If you do a replay or in practice mode those rings appear to assist you.
