I really like the clouds n all that, im just getting into photography, and i havent even gotten my first camera yet ( iim getting the same one u you used) and i was wondering like how did u do this? like did u sit by the camera and take a pic ever so often? cuz i dont have the camera yet, and dont know that much yet.
I actually tethered my 450D to my Laptop running the remote tethering software that you get when you buy the camera. In turn you can also buy an intervalometer capable remote shutter, which plugs into the camera and you can set a time interval for the camera to actuate the shutter, ex; (every ten seconds).. and you set the number of images you want to take.. the 450D, depending on shutter priority time, will take 800-1200 pictures on on fully charged battery.
If you want to get serious about time lapsing, I suggest a higher model camera, the 450D is supposedly only rated at 50k shutter actuations by Canon. 50,000 seems like a lot but adds up quick when your'e doing timelapses. Also consider a battery grip with extra battery pack or AC Adaptor for your camera so you don't have to worry about the battery dying at 800-1200 pictures..
