You the trip was good but it wasn't anything in comparisson to other McClay trips. The horse doesn;t appear to have the step for the height. He is leaving long out of almost every combination or line. The rider did the best she could with what she had to work with, with the excesption of allowing him to get deep into the planks.
@HntrJmprMare Horses need a proper bascule to get over a jump cleanly. Since eq rider's tend to ride a somewhat strung out flat jumper, it makes for more knock downs.
well the round wasnt her best but still very very good. thats a rough course. i think just the fact that the horse didnt get spooky and she stayed confident through the whole thing was really good. some of those fences are a bit scary... especially that bright brick wall thing... haha i think its really ugly...
It was a nice round, the corse definately is not easy. Probably not one of her best rounds though, she got a few long distances, but still a good one! Keeping your eq perfect while navigating a course like that is difficult!
i love this horse, such finesse, and great knees!

I thought the Maclay was 3'? Is it larger at the finals? These jumps look huge!

Such a shame that all the years of training come down to 58 seconds and a rail down.

he just looks weird cuz he jumps more flat and covers more distance than a jumper who would have a quite noticible bascule to his jump

ya the blue jump was hard b/c the waves can confuse the horse intothinking that it can jump lower than it needs to, casing it to rub the top rail.

yyay I was there! Don't feel bad about the blue jump, about half of the people knocked that over. It was a great ride though!
