MURRAY GOLD USES LOGIC PRO FOR DOCTOR WHO MUSIC.

I know that the end result is produced by an orchestra but my point is, he makes his music with a virtual orchestra, some of which are actually on the show and then prints off the scores and gives 'em to da orchestra.

I don't understand why when anyone ever Remixes the Dr Who theme now, that it has to be a Murray Gold Cover. Why can't it simply be the Dr Who theme?

And concidering that Gold's is the worst version of the theme anyway.

Oh well. Good attempt, but I'd Love to hear it with out the Murray in it. Make it "YOUR" Rendition, not a Gold Cover & you'll have a Winner here fella :)

The Dr who theme was special & unique for it's simple yet affective sound. The way it somehow sounded unearthly, Alien & Haunting.

I agree with many Classic fans who claim it to be over exagerated, Dramatic & with no elements of Erie or haunting creativety.

It's a disection of beloved Delia's Original masterpiece, over dramatic Orchestral sounds which (while they sound rich & authentic) lack any of the Pioneering & Sculpted sounds that made Delia's, Peter's, Dominic's & Keff's so Iconic. U no?

As a Sound Sculptor & Musique Concrete Extrordinaire, I can safely inform you that the Themes that were generated by Voltage Control from both 60's/70's & the 80's with Modular Oscillators, Glass Valve Amps, Analog Filters etc were created with more effort, more Creativety, A Vision; as an Art & were much more effective than just giving 77 People Musical Notes to play & Pasting Cuts of Delia's Masterpiece over the Finished Performance.

@therealKINDLE Murray doesn't use a real orchestra. He uses Logic Pro on a Mac.

@ATV642 I've never met anyone as derrrr as you before. Murray Gold uses an Orchestra To do both the Theme Title & the Incidental Music. He uses elements of Digital software for the sounds he FAILS to reproduce with Brass, String, Wood or Wind Instruments.

It's awful, a cheap way out, & is a clear admittion of defeat to not even attempt synthesizing it like it was in the Classic (REAL) Series.
