You know, Dhalsim's abilities and unique moveset really show what he is made of. You first see how slow his fireball is and think it sucks. Then you see how he can cross you up with it, and stick you between the fireball and another move of his. I love it....
Great Match - Dhal is a bitch when it comes to Sagat and other slow characters - like the zoning from Sagat in the next to last round. These guys are beastly. Anyone know if Ojisan ever went against Paul (another Sagat player)?
Ironically, I have no problem with Sagat. Seth on arcade mode I can give an absolute pasting to with Akuma, Zangief and Guile. But a human opponent who knows what he's doing can be a nightmare. My most troublesome character is Blanka, keeping in mind I main Akuma.

SFIV is in fact, a pretty well balanced game. The lowertier characters just don't have enough tools to fight the top tier characters on a completely equal footing.

sorry but i play Dhalsim and Sagat is probably the easiest to defeat. Dhalsim can avoid/ slide under most fireballs, teleport behind sagat players while they are spamming fireballs, ofcourse reach out before sagat fires.......yea I don't know about others, but sagat is pretty easy for me

Have you SEEN how much damage Sagat does, for doing so little, compared to some characters? when you have a low health character, they die instantly basically.

sagat is very strong his moves not only require one hit to do strong dmg but also come out fast and have high priority. tiger knee links are like fast moving hit walls that can be connected almost anytime and then linked to super/ultra. what annoys the crap out of me are turtle sagats. you know 1 roundhouse and runaway. thats worse than the overuse of tiger shots. i dont mind losing to a good sagat thats entertaining. losing to a pu--y a-- sagat who pecks away life drives me insane

Man, if you get caught in Sagat's EX-uppercut-cancel-super, say goodbye to at least a quater-to-a-half of your life meter. Yah akuma has a better fireball game but his downfall is that he has low stamina. Sagat's only downfall is that he walks slow. Depending on a player's playstyle, they can have a better chance at beating Sagat, but that doesnt make him any less op because the Sagat player can change his playstyle too. Sagat is too powerful, has too much health, and too many options to not be considered OP. He is even or has the upper hand in all of his match ups and thats what makes him broken.
No, Dhalsim isn't broken, he's just a ranged fighter. The player did exactly what he was supposed to; keep Sagat away with ranged attacks and work him down. If you notice during the 2nd and 3rd round Sagat wins because he's able to close the gap and get some heavy hits in.
dhal hits most people soft what you expect he fights from a safe distance , has a teleport and has a projectile evading move that can go into a teleport--the problem u guys got with sagat is that you guys play(ken) hit for hit matches never using your char own strengths (noobs)

OK Dhalsin isn't bad, but Sagat is clearly the best char in this game. Awesome Stamina, Awesome Damage output, his uppercut hits once, meaning that it does full damage even on trades. He has great juggle combos so he can link Ultra easily.
And his only disadvantage is his speed, but he has f+LK->tiger knee to surpass that. He`s a perfect char

I'm also in the process of learning Sagat, but I would just guess playing defensively. Sagat is powerful, but as you know he's not very fast (his walk speed is horrible and his dash is short). You want zone by fireballing and when they're close, knock them down with a tiger upper. When they're knocked down, I guess you can start rushing them somewhat. But in general, I'd probably play a 60-70% defensive game with him. If you have the ultra, do a f+hk on their jumpin and do the ultra if it hits.
that was a good dhalsim player, but I hate how they made dhalsim so weak in the game. his yoga catastrophe does little damage, moves too slow, and is hardly any help.

You have wrong. While doing catastrophe, use it far away from your opponent and teleport in the air and do one of his combo, but in the case, you cannot use yoga flame because of catastrophe. While he is damaged by it, inclusive his combo, use inferno.
Itsuki is such an inspiration :) I started playing SFIV with Claw but I hit a roadblock with Vega so I was looking for a new character to play.
I couldn't really find anything that fit my style of play but several Sim players made me main this guy, I loved Sim in ST but I haven't played with Sim in a long time since I dedicated my training time to 3S these couple of years and Necro wasent my main.

Itsuki is possibly my favorite fighter, sporting the Yoga man. Too bad his Ultra just passed through Sagat at the end there. XD

wow 0:43 amazing.. i wanna learn to do that in precision like all the pros do. this was by far the best match up ive seen. a good dhalsim against a good sagat player. both sharing the strengths and weaknesses within both characters as opposed to people who overuse sagat's size to turtle or dhalsim's ability to dodge as a turtle. both players displayed an awesome battle. i think this beat the sf4 finals match

sagat is very strong his moves not only require one hit to do strong dmg but also come out fast and have high priority. tiger knee links are like fast moving hit walls that can be connected almost anytime and then linked to super/ultra. what annoys the crap out of me are turtle sagats. you know 1 roundhouse and runaway. thats worse than the overuse of tiger shots. i dont mind losing to a good sagat thats entertaining. losing to a pu--y a-- sagat who pecks away life drives me insane

Man, if you get caught in Sagat's EX-uppercut-cancel-super, say goodbye to at least a quater-to-a-half of your life meter. Dhalsim whipped out some solid hits and then one mistake, boom, niggah got knocked so silly he felt like he just ate daal from last week haha. And, for everyone who says that Sagat is overpowered: I see two goods in his strength -- (1) he easily identifies where you have weakness in your game w/ ur flagship character; and (2) if u simply can't stand him, then just use him

Yah akuma has a better fireball game but his downfall is that he has low stamina. Sagat's only downfall is that he walks slow. Depending on a player's playstyle, they can have a better chance at beating Sagat, but that doesnt make him any less op because the Sagat player can change his playstyle too. Sagat is too powerful, has too much health, and too many options to not be considered OP. He is even or has the upper hand in all of his match ups and thats what makes him broken.

No, Dhalsim isn't broken, he's just a ranged fighter. The player did exactly what he was supposed to; keep Sagat away with ranged attacks and work him down. If you notice during the 2nd and 3rd round Sagat wins because he's able to close the gap and get some heavy hits in.

OK Dhalsin isn't bad, but Sagat is clearly the best char in this game. Awesome Stamina, Awesome Damage output, his uppercut hits once, meaning that it does full damage even on trades. He has great juggle combos so he can link Ultra easily.
And his only disadvantage is his speed, but he has f+LK->tiger knee to surpass that. He`s a perfect char

Sagat is clearly God Tier in this game, he has crazy damage output, good stamina, easy links into his ultra, the best fireball game, etc.
Other characters have bad matchups. but Sagat doesnt. I dont see how you can deny that Sagat is OP.

I'm also in the process of learning Sagat, but I would just guess playing defensively. Sagat is powerful, but as you know he's not very fast (his walk speed is horrible and his dash is short). You want zone by fireballing and when they're close, knock them down with a tiger upper. When they're knocked down, I guess you can start rushing them somewhat. But in general, I'd probably play a 60-70% defensive game with him. If you have the ultra, do a f+hk on their jumpin and do the ultra if it hits.

You have wrong. While doing catastrophe, use it far away from your opponent and teleport in the air and do one of his combo, but in the case, you cannot use yoga flame because of catastrophe. While he is damaged by it, inclusive his combo, use inferno.
THAT's good for Dhalsims ultra. Use your head.

Itsuki is such an inspiration :) I started playing SFIV with Claw but I hit a roadblock with Vega so I was looking for a new character to play.
I couldn't really find anything that fit my style of play but several Sim players made me main this guy, I loved Sim in ST but I haven't played with Sim in a long time since I dedicated my training time to 3S these couple of years and Necro wasent my main.
Sim is the most elegant character in IV.
