  • While passengers should be protected, they should ban driver-side safety equipment as it leads to recklessness, arrogance and power without responsibility. Drivers should be put in as much danger as the weakest of other road users and they should know about it too. I suggest spikes in the steering wheel and front console for starters :-)

  • I have an 07 Caliber I bought new. Suffered a side drivers hit from a Subaru Legacy at 35mph, when he ran the stoplight. I drove my car home, he did not, and I only had a sore neck the next day, no injuries! The car was repaired perfectly, still driving it and it has 120k miles now. Never had any reliability issue with it at all, just gas it up and change the oil. Love this car!

  • It may do well in it's crash test, but it's an ugly car. I hope anyone who buys one don't end up like someone I know who woke up one morning only to find their Caliber soaked inside because of rain the night before. So much water inside, they actually scooped out water from the front floors. Chrysler quality is subpar compared to GM and Ford, except maybe the Ram pickup truck

  • @Rockywaves73 well, did ur friend leave anything open? if not it probably was the seals... id take it back to the dealer. but i have a dodge caliber and i absolutly love it.. and i find it attractive... but mines a 2010... and every car has a defect... nothings perfect..

  • @tobyburnsu I wouldn't post a story about a car leaking if my friend left a window opened or something. I used to work in a car factory. All car companies have a number of cars come off the line that may have some little problems etc....per 100 cars is usually how it's measured. Some companies are better than others and keep that number low per 100. It's also important to keep in mind when a new model year comes out. I had a 2000 Dodge Intrepid, worse car I have ever owned.

  • @Rockywaves73 That happens to my Dakota when i leave the windows rolled down.

  • glad to know im safe ;)

  • loook at my car :'[ hahah. it look like it did better then the neon though

  • the caliber has airbags besides?

  • I guess it didn't do too bad in the crash test, but this is just not a very good car. The interior materials used are so cheap that I thought it wasn't possible for a 2007 car. I know it's a cheap car, but still...

  • This is a solid car made on Mexico with high tech ! Great Car

  • Actually its made in Belvidere Illinois.

  • This car is not made in Mexico, is made on the US.

The Chrysler models made in Mexico for the rest of the world are the Journey and de PT Cruiser.

  • This is a solid car

  • @24DEX well done, every car is solid, it's made of metal... anything else i already knew?

  • its for when people slide in2 a pole duh

  • OK I don't get the pole test, are there a lot of telephone poles crashing into the sides of cars in Europe? (preity stupid test if you ask me)

  • WTF?! This isn't a pole test, they're crashing into a barrier box and the dodge caliber is not a european car, it's an american. You tell a european "I have a dodge caliber" they'll be like "Good for you.... what's that?"

  • hey! i got a Dodge Caliber! and there are more then five in my town (Lecco/Italy)...check out my video. Dodge Caliber 1.8L

  • me too, but im live in Moscow\Russia

  • The pole test is painfull.
