@NBVvideos I go shed hunting because it's FUN {Personel Oppinion} And it's a great bonding adventure when your with someone you love. Also I thing sheds are cool espessially when it's a big one.I litteraly stare at mine! You also get a good idea of what kind of deer are in the area so maybe you could hunt this deer during hunting season like scouting.
@hunter0055 Awesome. I have been looking for just a plain ol' frame pack cause i mainly find elk antlers, and need a light but durable pack that can handle the weight of those suckers. Thanks for the reply, and that helps cause i was looking at the Cabelas and also Bull Pac frames and was just wonderin what ya used...Great vids!!
Did you train your dog to hunt shed or does he just cruise with you? I'm going to be getting a dog in the next few weeks and I'd like for him to be a shed dog. Any tips/pointers? Good hunting!
@BC4Lyphe I never actually trained him he has been going with me since he was a pup and just picked it up on his own. Took about 3 years and he was finding sheds and has gotten better every year. If you can get a fresh shed you can use that to train your dog by hiding it and having the dog find it, make it into a game. Good luck!
Hey I've been looking for sheds for like 2 months now and I only find the tracks,I can't find any!!! There is a huge 14 point and a 18 point with double drop tines, but I can't find any sheds, not even the little ones, could u give me some info on where to look?
Dude these r so planted! How would he know how old they are?! Plus he wouldn't be finding sheds from the year before because squirrels, rabbits, mice, all the rodents eat them!
Planted, obviously your not a shed hunter! If you can't tell how old a shed is by looking at it then your an idiot!! I find sheds that are up to 4 or 5 years old you moron. The rodents here don't eat them completely, get a clue!!
those are some nice sheds well the two anyways lol i got a few big guys this year but they old ones just started looking for sheds my self and its awesome but you already know that
Ya, we are all hoping you get the other side of that non-typical 6 pt. I hope ya got a wide enough lens to capture that beast on film! ; ) Its never too late in the year to find em!
Cool, sheds are easy to miss that's for sure. I have found many that I had been walking by in previous years, it makes you wonder how you ever could have missed them.
ya me and my friend went out on march 3, 2009 in montana and foudn 52 mule sheds, 2 elk skulls, and 2 mule deer skulls. only about 16 were 2009 tho. the elk also had 3 antlers it was a 2x4x5. check out our nice shed on youtube: Fresh giant 2009 mule deer antler shed. Nice finds
Hey, I'm mike and i'm in alberta, I started hunting sheds this year and i found a set of whitetail buck and mulie buck antlers, the mulies were 4x4 and the whitetail was 5x4 with alot of mass. good videos keep em coming.
Nice sheds. Did you ever score that big one? I found a 6x6 set of whitetail antlers yesterday I will try to send you a picture of. They were in thick brush so I'm not real happy with the picture. It does look like you have some snow still. Most of our southern slopes are empty already. Much nicer than last year. Too bad lasts winter killed most of our deer.
where do you find all those sheds

buddino1 1 year ago
@buddino1 From the end of December through February
hunter0055 1 year ago
@buddino1 you also need a permit to gather antlers but there free to get at the DWR site just look it up
halomaster8597 1 year ago
@halomaster8597 We don't need a permit to pick up shed antlers here but we do need a permit to bring out antlers of a dead buck that hasn't shed.
