    Depending where you live, there may be a dig nearby, and volunteers are always welcome. If you live in the UK or Europe I know for sure that you'll find one if you contact your local Archaeology society. An archaeology degree helps as well :)

  • Its good to see, that archaeology in terrain is still same like our archaeology in Czech republic. Same methods :) No just kiding, but in here we dont have course of archaeolgy only 3 - 5 years studing or you can just came and dig. I love my job :)

  • Bunch of volunteers. Taking over the professional archaeological jobs. I mean showing them how to use the equipment it should be professionals who do this sort of thing.

  • This is indeed a group of volunteers, who have paid to participate on a course where they have a chance to learn the basics of all aspects of field archaeology.

    The site is not threatened by development in any way, and permission was kindly given by the landowner for the excavation to take place.

    The course participants are taught by professional archaeologists.
