The 'SMASH HIT' that never was, but most certainly would have been, had it been released as a single. One of Chris Curtis' finest vocal performances. Vastly underated !
Just re-visiting one of my favorite tunes lead vocal by the late, great Chris Curtis. He was a master at changing octaves. I'm running this as lead video on my CCF channel! Thank you, KT for the upload!
which one in the picture is chris curtis? .... and ... when and what did he die from? ... i always liked the searchers ... wished they would have kept making songs for long after their first big run.
@frizzlefrap Come over to my channel and you'll see a lot of Chris Curtis! He passed away in 2005, he was only 63. He had so much talent and a totally beautiful soul! RIP, Dear Chris.
This will always be my fave Searchers song, since Chris, singing it, had the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. RIP Chris. Thanks, ktoop, for posting it and keeping Chris talent alive!
Hi tt, i spent some time working on the guitar chords. They are as follows: Amin, Amaj, Dm7, Fmaj, Faug, F6, F7, Bb, Bbaug, Bb6, E7, Dmin, E7, back to Amin. Just play them till you can sing along. Hope this helps ! Gazzymodo.
This is Chris Curtis's finest performance with the Searchers. A brilliant 'Bacharach/David' composition. Check out the Fortunes version, it too is excellent, lots of vocal harmony & good arrangement !

A great song, to be sure. And in fact, I consider Dionne Warwick's version of it to be the VERY BEST song she ever recorded.

A Tony Hatch song I believe. Often referred to as the 5th member of the band

hello, this is not a Tony Hatch song. It was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

I like this better than the original. Dionne Warwick's version is underproduced. This one has some oomph to it.
