Why do you need more than 3 chords?

No not at all, they come with Daddario Exp16(12-53) which I find suit the guitar nicely.
I would always adjust the action before going down the light string path, these things are a little high down on the 12th and up on the 6th.

did you have to re-string these? my moms friend who plays guitar says to re-string them, because the strings are still too hard to play? did you?
