Hi Just wounderning how Kyle is doing now. how is his progress going and I hope all is going well. My daughter is 4 now and still has Issues with droppin constants on the begging of the words and will still put other sounds in front of the word or even behind them. but she is in HeadStart/Pre-school in a special intergrated class and this will be her 2nd year and she started to pick up words like crazy, she has speech 3 times a week for a half hr each indavidule and 2 times a week in the class!
is apraxia in the head or mus in the jaw that dose not allow people with it to form words? do they think the same and by that i mean do things take a little longer to set in or is this just the br not allowing the signals that control the head form words?
he is a lovely boy, i hope that the speech therapy has or had results , i am studying "Fonoaudiología" in english "speech and audiology therapist" and i have been interesting about this disease so i found your video...
did the therapy works? i hope that your son finally says mom.
(my english is horrible because i'm from chile south america)
my littel girl was 28 months when she was diagnoised with apraxia and has been doing speech therapy for about 5 weeks now and can now say a few words like hat, no and she can do the animal sounds.she is learning sing language and that helps her to not throw as many fits. is your littel boy learning sing language? as well as douing threapy?
Thank you for looking at the video. My son is in Speech therapy, but was not getting enough. We just received insurance approval to get speech 3 times a week. We are doing sign language too and he is doing well learning sign. Most of his sounds are vowel sounds. He hasn't really figured out how to pronounce consonants yet. It has been a long and frustrating journey for us.He is now 30 months old. He has never said "momma". Hopefully soon he will be picking up more words in his vocabulary.
i know how that is she just recently started to say momma. she surprised me with that one day after st whith "da"(daddy)and the therpiset. I was so exiceted to hear her say that. she now says in and out and up and down. Your littel boy is a cutey
