And so the story goes: Paul was in a bar in Spain or Portugal, and Mendes asked him to write a song for him. Paul, high as Mr. Kite, wrote gibberish, probably recorded it on a portable reel-to-reel--Mendes didn't speak English and mimics Paul, tune and words, to a "t"). Paul did it as sort of joke, to show that anyone would record anything associated with The Beatles. Note some of the lyrics, "Give me liquid," "Feed me drugs," Thank you all, love from Paul." Fabulous.

I ADORE the melody.

actually, that is not true

Paul was in the Algarve (Portugal) on holiday, and he went to this hotel, Penina, and there was a band playing, Jotta Herre. Paul performed with them and wrote this song. Later, the group recorded it but they weren'r much famous, so the publisher asked Carlos Mendes to record it.

@oceansdaughter That`s not true. Mendes speaks good English and he didn´t ask Paul for a song.@oceansdaughter is right. That´s the story, correctelly. I´m Portuguese and musician. I know what happenend.
