Wow, there are a lot of older looking films that I haven't seen. . . I only recognized like 4 of these. . . Let me know when you get that list together. :P
2:48 "Angels in America" 2:53 ? 2:59 "Querelle" 3:04 "Wings" 3:07 "A Different Story" 3:09 "Women in Love" 3:13 "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" 3:16 "The Color Purple" 3:19? 3:21? 3:22 "Looking For Langston" 3:25 "Cruising" 3:27 "Transamerica" 3:31 "Midnight Express" 3:34 "Dog Day Afternoon"

@missuniworld really thank you for the list! :) just one correction I noticed.. 2:25 is actually the great film "Another Country" not "Maurice". both deserve representation!

A BIG proportion of this is from the documentary 'The Celluloid Closet' and where is the reference in the description box? That means that a lot of people will think you have done all this research yourself. That is rather plagiaristic... A simple acknowledgement would be fitting. One mention in the comments (as far as I can see) to someone who brings up The CC is not enough. Oh, and everyone, get 'The Celluloid Closet' - it is brilliant, as is the book!
Very nice! I've seen and loved some of these films. Forgot the titles of some, because its been so long. Can anybody on this post remember any of the other titles? Brokeback Mountain is my favorite. The ending really caught me off gaurd. Talk about tears; I don't usually cry. I would be a poor actor, because I don't know how to show tears & emotions. But Brokeback brought things out of me I thought were long gone. Took me a week to get myself together. Great documentary. :) lol
What an interesting and cool montage celebrating gay in films. I am interested in the ones that were portrayed in what looks like the black and white era of the 40s and 50s. Whoa, I didn't know it went that far back. I wonder where I can find those....where the idea of homosexuality was not pushed too far but was subtle. Those I like...
@slyspockthefox3:05 is "Wings" (dir, William A. Wellman, 1927.) It has the distinction of being the very first Best Picture Oscar winner. Thanks for asking!!
@petitebiere I'm gonna be honest --- I've forgotten. I made this many moons ago. People have asked for a full list for a year, but that is one I just don't know the name of. I will post a list shortly and any help on what I leave missing would be greatly appreciated.
