I work for Ultraframe(conservatory's) as a Kasto machine operator,A large 'robotic' gantry crane.Quite cool,but after 10 years i fancy a change and working on rigs is looking like the route i want to go down(hopes)
I was in their factory in Lancs about 4 or 5 years ago to get 'trained' up on the product. I was working for Anglian at the time. So maybe we crossed paths that day!
So, let me give you an alternative. I get a job in a Glasgow shipyard instead. I need 2 nights late and a sauturday and sunday to make about £800 before tax. Where I live it'll take me an hour each way. In total including travelling I'm out of the house for 68 hours a week, which equates to about £11 an hour. Plus, I'm knackered every night, I cant afford time off and I never get a long lie.
8 hours each way? It takes me 2.5 hours to get to Aberdeen and 4 hours to get to Humberside. So whatever heli-port I go to, I can get there reasonable easy.
I had a colleage from Southampton who could fly to Aberdeen in an hour!
Apply for high paying job offshore.....my arse....if you add up all the hours you spend 'offshore' sitting inside a fucking ticking bomb you 're lucky if youre on a fiver an hour and remember youll get taxed to fuck and the worst part..your 'workmates' treat you like a flunkey, talk behind your back and run to stick you in to the gaffer to try and put you out a job so their inbreed brothers and sisters can fill your boots. its a shit life for horrible fickle cunts.

Anyone with a reasonable IQ can plainly see that you have issues. You are also delusional if you think you pay more than £2500 per month in tax. If you were, you should get yourself an accountant because you're getting ripped off!
