When I can't please my girl during intercourse, I make her listen this song at top volume. She moans all the way to 3:21, where she have multiple orgasms. Makes me think of 4th of July seeing her. Thanks, Yoko Kanno, for helping me compesate for my poor sexual skills!
@cmonster67 Errr, not quite. WPO played one song on the OST - "Ave Maria" (the opera from Episode 5). That's about as much work they did on Cowboy Bebop. The Seatbelts did most everything else.
@hotelmario510 What!! holyshit get on torrent or sumthing now and watch it, seen em all at least four times from when I was thirteen till now, at nineteen, and I've always thought it was the best show of all time =) stilll true =D
@LUIS32475 Actually you're using your hatred of Twilight to hate some good music that went onto the soundtracks so yeah you don't know what you're talking about.
@WildBillHickums Well, considering Cowboy Bebop was partially made out of love for purely American cinema (film noir, sci-fi "B" movies), I can see them getting some kicks out of a Tarantino flick. :P
@WildBillHickums Fuuuuuuuuuuck no, man! Cowboy Bebop is miles above the senseless bullshit of Tarantino's movies. His movies are fun, but lack substance. Cowboy Bebop is 100% substance.
@theonlyred4 Tarantino could do it, he has to step out of his usual range and budget but of any mainstream director and producer he could bring to the table something that would be far better than any other's production. I mean come on, Michael Bay....Bah.
"I think it's time we blow this scene. Get everybody and the stuff together. Ok, 3, 2, 1, let's jam." That's what I said to my friends as the cops burst into the bar to break up that fight last week.
Would anyone happen to know what specific genre this song is or other songs that are similar to this one? I'm assuming it's some sort of jazz, but I'd like specifics since I know there are multiple branch offs of the jazz genre.
If anyone has recommendations of other similar songs, the main sound I'd like to match is the bass line. Less so the wind instruments but only by a small margin.
@Eagleye735495 Its actually called "Bebop" hahahaha! And I just go onto Pandora radio dot com and just typed in bebop and it comes out wif some good songs ;D
@Eagleye735495 I recommend the song "Nutville" by Horace Silver, particularly the arrangement by the Buddy Rich Big Band. The bassline is pretty slamming, and the song has a similar feel to this one.
You might also be interested the song Impressions; I like the Wes Montgomery version, but the original by Coltrane is killer as well.
Lastly, I suggest "Ao no Sakusen" by The Thrill, from the Blue Submarine no. 6 OST. For that matter, anything by The Thrill is worth listening to...
can any oen say 70's chase music xDDD i love how yoko kanno did such a fine job with this sound track this green bird and space lion is just so epic C: this ish my life theme X_X i even made a spike on imvu X_X
@fan354 And got rid of his beard. And decided to stop using a revolver. That's what I love about Spike; he's different enough to be just a tribute and not a rip-off.
@fan354 I'm mostly a manga fan (I seek out good American comics too). Cowboy Bebop is a good anime to start with for a few reasons; its Western style won't alienate you, it's not to "anime-ish," its short length won't intimidate anyone and the dub is damn good, even for today.
I wanted to hate the series due to all the dick-sucking people give to it, but I couldn't deny that it was a quality series. I do believe it's overrated, but still good, if that makes any sense.
Me and my older bro have agreed that if a zombies ever become real and start killing everyone, that we would hold out and listen to this type of music all day. And kill zombies of course. and we would have 3 main songs. We would listen to Tank! when we're escaping or making a run for it, The real folk blues when someone in our group dies. and See you space cowboy when we make our last stand. That, was really freaking stupid
@MasterCheif248 I swear, someone should make a "Zombie Apocalypse" disc to play when the undead come after us while we get out our BOOMSTICKS! I vote for "Tank!" and "The Beast". And perhaps "Thanatos" if we come across a zombified family member.
@MasterCheif248 I hope I end up joining your posse so we can take out them Zombie bastards while this plays. Of course when See you space cowboy starts I'm leaving... Ain't gonna be no last stand for me.
@MasterCheif248 Yea...it was. There should be no other soundtrack to a zombie apocalypse than frantic screaming, gunshots, and of course the comic relief random hilarious cracks while killing zombies
@MasterCheif248 As much as I would like to agree with you. I would rather get many generators and post up on the top of my house with my guitar playing the fuck out of it laughing at the zombies trying to get me. =D
@KingCrimsonIV well i hafta say he is an incredible voice actor, i like him, i hate it when peopel always go aobut saying Japanese is ALWAYS BETTER. but you know, the English dubs are quite good and if not excellent in some cases. I hafta agree that there are alot of english dubbed naimes athat suck ass, but there are also some that are REALLY good! Such as GunXSword. Wow just amazing.
@RegulaVestus to be fair if english is watched first.... it is mentally speaking the original right?
my only complaint about original langauge audio's is that to understand (as of right now, someday this may be rectified) it I need subtitles...
plus Spike without Steve is like cowboy bebop without "Bang", all others are fine (except faye in japanese, eng is definately better) in either language, however music in anime shouldn't be translated in the song only subbed, it's just easier
@RegulaVestus Depends, look at the Studio Ghibli stuff, redone for the english voices. Works perfectly. Bebop and GITS also are better in English. Akira and ones like that should always be originals though I agree on some counts.
@jimmyhayers You always lose something when you translate from one language to another. Granted, you'll probably lose some meaninful tidbits due to translation (in the subtitles) unless you're a japanese speaker, but you'll lose even more nuances in dubbed works. Face it: most people will get the dubbed version because they're either too lazy to read the subtitles (or to learn the language), or xenophobic - in the sense that a foreign language is unfathomable and unconceivable.
@RegulaVestus I agree with you in the large part for some things, especially live action but I do think there are a few cases where the English version is just as good if not better, where it has been done properly and not just cobbled together
@RegulaVestus I don't think "Unwilling to learn Japanese" counts as lazy. For the most part, people aren't too lazy to read subtitles, they just don't like staring at the bottom of the screen the whole time. Personally I prefer the English version of Bebop simply because Steven Blum does such a good voice-acting job. Though there are obviously a lot of shows out there where the dubbing just isn't good, and they're better with the original audio with subtitles.
I jazzed all over myself.

my only complaint about original langauge audio's is that to understand (as of right now, someday this may be rectified) it I need subtitles...
plus Spike without Steve is like cowboy bebop without "Bang", all others are fine (except faye in japanese, eng is definately better) in either language, however music in anime shouldn't be translated in the song only subbed, it's just easier

@RegulaVestus Not unless you have a different opinion.
