  • were can I buy the adapter?

  • i can say this dies work, you do have to convert the music file into something the player will play. the sound quality isn't great but is awesome when you really think about it because the TI calc has no sound hardware.

A 360 headset will also work in place of the 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter and headphones if you want to see for yourself, the connector on the 360 headset is 2.5mm and works fine.

  • simpler way: take an Ipod and stick it in the shell of a working calculator one of that size will have more than enough room and feed the wire out but I guess if your into this go with it but just recaseing an ipod is much simpler also I believe they sell mp3 players that look like calculators and stuff so kids can sneak them into school

  • *insert fake equalizer here*

"hmm... you know what... i think he's trying to trick us..."

  • GET AN IPOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @slipfoot1 yeah, but whats the fun on getting a devise that is built to play music to play music ? pretty common, don't you think ?

Its much funner on making something that has no sound hardware to play music.

  • Can u send me a message giving me instructions on how to do this?

  • Where did you get the program from?? I would love to know thanks =P

  • its cheaper and easier just to buy an mp3 and you would be sure its working

  • bleagh jumpstyle

  • FOOLS!! didn't anyone saw the "make fake equaliser here" at 0:46 ?!?!

So dumb to believe in this sh1t

  • how do i send mp3 to the ti 84 plus se?

    help please!!

  • i love green day XD

  • hmm, i already have a 2.5mm headphone from this handheld thing. i'll try that instead

    awesome

  • lies, there is in no way enough memory to hold an entire mp3 file, an average mp3, can be a couple MB, tha calc only has 24 KB of ram. And I know that withing a few days this comment will be thumbsed down out of existance but you have to be a critical thinker, this CANT work right from the cal, there has to be seperate memory, USB8X maybe, but i dont see any usb adapter or flash drive.

  • @junits15 Its saved in the archive, not the ram. But what you said would be true if the music was saved on the ram

  • @EsswineKid there still isnt enough memory for an entire MP3, look up USB8X, using a flash drive could allow this to work. also its only 8bit sound so it isnt worth it

  • 2 things:

    1: HOLY SHIT THATS AMAZING!!!

and 2: ill bet thats a drain on the batteries!!!

  • nice, getting a 2.5-> 3.5mm on thursday

  • Midi and Mp3 are NOT the same. Sorry but nobody wants to listen to MIDIs.

  • @LJlovesleaves The seccond song is mp3, guess that midi is a default on the screen, remember is a beta

  • TiTunes?

    yummy

  • so does this output regular songs in 8 bit? THATS AMAZING

i think my ipod was just replaced

  • Make your FAKE equalizer here...

    Fake.

  • Dude this is fake, the song is fake but the program itself works i tried just a minute ago with Omnicalc and Piano app and 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm and stand earbunds it worked. i was chocked but it's only 8 bit sound so yea no mp3 LOL. Rather MIDI

  • @OlloX3 I thought MIDI was any kind of sound: my synthesizer shows up as a "MIDI input device" on my computer. Also where do you download TItunes ("why won'T ITUNES download" shows up instead) could you send me the link?

  • LOL @ your nickname

  • I bet it works fine, but too bad there's not much memory to actually store any worthwhile music!

  • where can i fin this jack plug converter?

  • Same kind used on the iPhone

  • what's that rattling noise?

  • woodpecker

  • Slow like helll...sigh

  • Boulevard of Broken Dreams!

  • DOWNLOAD LINK PL0X!

    I really want this! :D i have a 84+SE

  • kool.

turn it into a phone for your next trick.

  • so where can i get the music for this or do i just sync it like a regular mp3? : /

  • TI-83's DONT have sound cards

  • you don't need to have a sound card to hear sound files the nintendo 64 didn't have a sound card the CPU made it

  • Its called a software sound card. It may be lower qulity or possibly laggy, but with clever programming, it can suffice.

  • sound cards and graphics cards are just there to make it easier on the CPU.

Infact you can boot windows in MSDOS mode without a graphics card

  • so long as you have an onboard to plug your monitor into.

  • hee ik probeer Games o.a mario enz er op te zetten maar wanneer ik het wil zoeken naar mijn machine dan geeft hij aan dat hij niks kan vinden en dat er maar een poort is com1 :| . enig idee?

  • That is Sweet!!!

  • anyone would know this is fake. Look at your calc. do you really think they would install a sound card on it? Besides it says midi. Midi will not support sound quality this high. It is midi, not audio. There is a difference.

  • though it would be cool if it was real

  • Actually, it IS possible :D

I saw it on a forum, but for the REAL working, you need to open your TI84+ (!) and install a normal 3mm jack...

  • cool, is that true, im geting a graphing calculater in like two weeks

  • LOL fake for 3 main reasons...

    1) Real singing voices are impossible for MIDI.

    2) Go to "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\gm.dls" This is the MIDI instrument bank that's been a part of Windows since eternity. It's 3.28MB! That wouldn't even fit in archive!

    3) Even if you got more archive memory, the RAM is still limited to the OS and you're telling me a 15MHz processor designed in 1976 was able to push what you heard in the video while keeping the loading times quick and keeping animation smooth?

  • Way to prove your a superfaggot.

  • way to prove you're too stupid to understand what i posted.

  • Well either way, with an attitude like that, you're probably NOT going to do anything with your life other than make more children and live life doing the absolute minimum. And, who said I didn't have a girlfriend? Girls can't be attracted to nerds or what? When you grow up, you realize that women are more attracted to a guy who can handle himself with confidence instead of anti-intellectuals like you. Dude, you need to stop being so full of yourself. I never said everyone was stupid, just you.

  • LOL I FOUND ANOTHER ONE xD

look at 2:46 : Make Fake Equalizer HERE !!!

  • The bird songs are awesome :)

I think you did this at 7:00 am or something :D

  • Here's why this is fake, above all other reasons. THAT MUSIC IS NOT A MIDI! THAT IS A FORM OF WAVE-BASED MUSIC, NOT NOTATION-BASED! It says 'loading midi' when the music is clearly not in Midi form, and I doubt it will fit in the 14K shown onscreen as such.

  • that was cool

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!! PLEEEEASE I WANT THIS! xD

  • unless the shell was written in basic and you used asm extensions it would be impossible to make a program that would play midi's in basic

  • maybe te ti-86 could power an MP3 player

  • Where can i buy a 2.5mm To 3.5mm Jack Adpter in sweden?

  • Kjell & Co

  • I haven't tried it yet, but I believe it's real. At school 10 years ago, we bulid a soundcard to play wave filed only to connect to the computers LPT1 port and basically all you need it a wire and 9 resistors. Quite simple actually....

  • Comment removed

  • Any calculator that runs on ASM language can generate sound. But 84 series have more powerful processors, so it's probably powerful enough to run MIDI processes, where a 83 Plus can only generate 4-channel 8-bit sounds.

As for the MP3-quality sound, definitely not real.

  • It would be nice it it wasn't fake :-)

  • aww man i need to get me one of thouse calculators -.-''

  • they´re quite expensive ($100 or more)

  • its midi, ofcourse it will fit

  • BS man, this calculator does not have enough memory. those songs are too big to be stored

  • I have to agree on this on. I own one myself and it barely has enough memory (even in the archives) to store more then 5 Chem programs, which are really low on RAM.

Unless this guy has managed to mod a flash drive or something into his TI I call BS as well.

  • very good work !!!

  • thats pretty cool Zwaffelen

  • Dude be careful cos I swear I heard a Predator right behind you, also MIDI doesn't sound like that - it sounds like a bleepy phone from about 2005. The bit where it said "make fake equalizer here" quite clearly on the screen made me laugh :D

  • lol

  • I know it ia cool and all, but what calculator has enough memory to do that. Maybe in 2020, not now

  • when will this program be available?

  • LOL? there is not any sound card on a Ti-84?

  • LOL? it's a midi ollox3

  • im guessing that i wouldn't be able to do that in math class...

  • I heard that actually you can play only midi files. I think this video its real. You can hack everything as long as it has a chip. The only con is that the calculator has few memory.

  • this is the fakest vid what i ever seen .MID files are only polyfonic sounds not mp3. fake:PPPPP

  • Ok, I'm not saying it's fake but I'm skeptical. Show me a vid where I can see the headphones plugged in, hear the music, and not hear or see anything indicating the video is fake and I'll be a believer, no a supporter. THAT was a long sentence.

  • I say, why need a sound card? Just take the song and a program to send the right parts, its got an io port, i once plugged in my headset, though the calculator froze because it was listening to the microphone.

  • its possible but the amount of memory it would take would make it pointless

  • It's not fake. It really works.

  • good song.

  • u got the same headphones like me :)

  • leuke naam heb je :P

  • it doesn't have a sound chip, so no sound, hence FAKE!

  • couldn't agree more!

  • probably fake..

  • ►►FAKE◄◄

  • really fake haha!!!!

  • lol

    TEACHERS COMIN, QUIT!

  • where can i get titunes??

  • Is that jack converter the same as a usually converter for small jack to 3,5 jack or not?

  • MIDIs can't have vocals

  • Where do i get?

  • It probably cant hold lots of songs cause it only has a little bit of RAM and no expandable Memory.

  • where can i get your program and that earbudd connector? well.. if you publicice your mp3 player...

  • how many songs or minutes can the calculator store becuase it has no hard drive or cards

  • Jeckel & hide??

    are you dutch??

  • lol my i messed up my TI but at least i can get music on it.. sweet

  • where can you download TItunes

  • can you still use the calculater functions?

  • wher can you buy the jack plug converter

  • I got mine at radioshack

  • Can you post the download link so we can see if it's fake or not?

  • that's fake

  • its not

  • yes it is

  • its not ive seen an heard it in life

but its a waist or time and batteries and it can only, as far as i no, play midi files

  • in midi files cant appear people talking like the video show

  • actulally thats green day....so it can play mp3's i was wrong but its not fake

  • this video is not fake, i saw still others running midifiles on their calculator.

but its still a waste of batteries.

  • mixmaxdix hasn't seen it before, it must be fake. Sorry guys, time to pack it up and ignore the guy who made the video of course.

  • u see it whit ur own eyes don't you? :S

  • Forgive me, but isn't this a little fake? Is the calc really fast enough? And does it really got enough RAM?

But if it's real, then congratulations to one of the greatest and most impressive calcprograms ever!

  • it has a 15mhz intel 8080 processor

  • wrong....it has a 12mhz zilog z80, the same processor as the gameboy.

  • in that case, shouldn't it be able to play gameboy games?

  • not quite, because the cpu in the 84 is different. on the other hand, the ti89 has a 68k proccessor, and that allows it to play gb games. I have pokemon on it, and its fun!

  • haha BLOOD BOUND!! WOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • so how can i do this? where can i download the program?

  • hoe zet je dat 'muziekprogramma' in je rekenmachine?

  • Haha nice, ik heb ook de 84 :D

  • o nvm. i gotta buy a new calc.

  • you say i can do this on a ti83plus? and where can i get this titunes app?

  • Hammerfall <3 :D

    lol great idea btw :D

  • nice job :D
