  • Yeah, i would use, but i dont have a forsner bit, Sorry. Thanks Brendan.

  • Good job. Like Peruturner said - a forstner bit will do a better job because a spade bit tries to follow the grain in the wood and runs off-centre. Also, run your lathe at the slowest speed and hold the jacobs chuck with your left hand to stop it coming loose. You are doing well.
