Car looks good, I have a lincoln ls that I have done some stuff to but really want to do more, Im just looking for ideas. Was wondering why you put your car in drive to rev it though?
@ncholewa11 check out lincolnvscadillacDOTcom for ideas. Great forum, just make sure you search your question before making a new thread or pm members. The ls has an electronic rev limiter in P or N so reving it in P or N doesn't work very well, thats why I have to put it in D and rev it.
@justingarotte219 They dont make them with the angel eyes installed. If you have an 00-02 gray silicone sealed headlights, you can just baked open and install the rings. If you have an 03-06 ls, you'll need to cut the lights apart to install the rings. Check my video on how to cut them apart and install them, plus how i spread the ring to fill in the low bean bezel perfectly. It's thw whole installationg process in 4x mode basically to reduce to 15 min
@afroboy16 I ordered them from auto anything. You can also buy them from bassani's website I think. I had to call to place the order for some reason, no online orders.
@afroboy16 No problem man, Magnaflow x-pipe. They were the 16'' universal mufflers, #4810 for center/center mufflers which is the configuration I needed.
@Lord2geno I have 2.5'' pipes from the cats, a magnaflow x-pipe, 2 bassani 4810 universail mufflers and 4'' magnaflow tips, in that order.
The angels eyes are made by umnitza, LED orion V2 rings, sold by lightwurz on ebay or just contact them through their site. Type in lincoln ls angel eyes on ebay and click on the 03-06 listing. Check out my 03-06 angel eye installation video if you have questions on installation and make sure to get 03-06 rings NOT 00-02 rings.
@rogeliogallegos76 Lightwurkz on ebay, 03-06 rings. Check out one of my other video's on how to install on 03-06 headlights, and no you can't just stick them in the oven and pull apart.
I just have one more question, sorry if I am bothering you. Do you think it would sound worse if i bought the Universal BX mufflers (aluminized steel). They are about $45 cheaper per muffler. Thanks!
@ejk1293 It's no bother. They sound the same, it's just different material. I wanted to buy the bx mufflers but they stopped making them in the configuration I needed. They sound the same, but the elements will take out the bx way before they can the regular ones, mainly the salt they put on roads where it snows. If you dont live where it snows or dont drive your LS in the snow, you're good.
Did you have to move the cats at all or do anything with the sensors. Ive been reading on lincoln vs. cadillac n someone was talking about how they had to move the cats n extend the hookups for the sensors. Also do u kno if you lost any power by putting aftermarket exhaust on. Ive also heard about ppl having that problem
@clausboss I didn't touch the cat's so the sensors didn't have to be moved. I didn't dyno the car so I dont know where I started at to know if I lost or gained. I did dyno my ls when I had flowmaster on then again when I installed 2.5'' pipes, res delete, added an x-pipie, and 2 magnaflow mufflers. I gained about 8 whp about 10 lb.-ft. of torque .
@clausboss The stock tips are way too small for the cut out, even 3.5'' are too small. I dont remember what stock is, but I have 4'' on right now and it's perfect. Magnaflow tips are on the expensive side for tips. You can go with ebay tips. A few member on a forum i'm on bought some tips that looked identical to the magnaflow tips I have on for 25-30 each instead of 50-60 each for magnaflows.
Thank you for the info and quick response. I have some ordering to do then off to the exhaust shop. I'll make this Jag V8 sound like an American V8 one way or another.
I'm finally impressed by an LS exhaust -yours sounds great, the way it should. Can you please answer a few questions. What is magnaflow x -pipe part number? What is the part number for the bassani mufflers? Did you use magnaflow tail pipes? What brand of tips did you use and do you have the part numbers? In advance thanks for sharing info. Nice job!
@darkheart1723 Thanks. The mufflers are the universal mufflers that are 4X8X16. Just get them in the configuration that your need for the way your exhaust is set up. I have center in/out because that is how my new piping was done. Most have offset in center out. The x-pipe is the magnaflow tru x crossover, in 2.5'' inlet/outlet, stock exhaust is 2.25'', dont know if you have it so i wont list part numbers because you might have stock piping.
x pipe I got from summit racing when I put magnaflow mufflers on before the bassani's.
Rev limiter can be taken off by a tune using an sct tuner. Contact torrie@fastpartsnetworkDOTcom-youtube doesn't allow you to link websites so the DOT is actually a "." . He has done tunes for a lot of the guys with LS'es on LVC, a lincoln forum I'm on.
Look up lincoln ls rev limiter, the first 2 videos from bobbyyoung show an ls without the rev limiter
@clausboss What are you reffering too? If you mean an exhausht kit, then no, it was not a kit. The only kit available is the maganaflow kit. I had a shop cut off my exhaust and weld in new pipes, with all my parts, whcih where the maganaflow x-pipe, bassani mufflers, and tips.

@clausboss Thanks and no worries. Cats are still on, 2.5 in pipes from the cats, no resonators, x-pipe, bassani mufflers, 4'' tips, in that order fro cats to tips.
@ejk1293 I got them from auto anything. Before you could order online but now you have to call them and place an order by phone.Make sure you tell them about the sale so you get them cheap. It's under bassani's sale section, at bassani.com. I dont think you can buy directly from bassani or i would say give them a call
Thanks. Side skirts are color matched now so it looks better from the side. I have rims, since the summer, I just haven't bought tires yet. Eibachs first which have also been sitting in my garage, then rims.
That is a sick LS8, I have a 2003. I love the front of the car and the Angel Eyes. The back of the car looks nice with the lip spoiler and it sounds great but it cud use some side skirts and custom rims.

ok thanx
clausboss 10 months ago
ok gotcha. that makes a lot more sense now. I thought the car came with 2.25 for the entire car.
clausboss 10 months ago
so did u run 2.5 inch piping for the entire car or just the cats back
clausboss 10 months ago
@clausboss the car comes with 2.5'' piping before the cats and reduces to 2.25'' after the cat, so I only did it after the cats.

@Alax7 would it make a lot of difference if i used the stock tips? I've been looking and the tips i've found are really expensive
