Well seeing that The Beatles were a giant influence on Pink Floyd, and that Pink Floyd's first album was made during The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's lonely hearts club band" album, which was a big influence on Pink Floyd. I'd have to to say both are great bands. I prefer Pink Floyd, but The Beatles are a band every Pink Floyd fan should respect and appreciate.

This legitamently reminds me of John Steinbeck's 'the Peal'!!!! He was a Socialist, 'don't take a slice of my pie', he believed that everyone has equal slices of pie! And 'so they say it's the root of all evil today', that was pretty much the theme of the book, was it not? And at the end, when they throw the pearl back into the ocean, and he hears the music of the pearl slowly fading away, it's like the end of this song, 'throw it away...away...away...' and it sounds insane, and kind of fades
