  • i did'nt know this piece. what year is it? Late 50's?

  • why is it exactly called "the "gershwin" songbook" ?

  • @ionakaleo George Gershwin (born in the late 1800's) was a very, very famous music composer. A lot of his songs were sung or played by artist like Frank Sinatra, John Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Ross and too many others to name. This song that Abbey Lincoln sings, is one of Gershwin songs he wrote. Since Gershwin had composed so many songs the collection is a songbook. Hope this explains it.

  • What a voice. Beautiful, and so was she.
