  • to cute! I am going to try this. thanks for sharing...btw..love your tshirt, Doctor Who is AWESOME!!!

  • I'm gonna try to make one! :D Is there any substitute for bronze? Like... if I mixed silver and brown paint together? xD Also, I love your TARDIS shirt.

  • That's awesome!!!

  • this is soo amazing! this is defenetly going on my list of duct tape things too make really great tutorial and i love what you did with the cards! t was just amazing XD

  • I've seen them all I love them! I am definitely going to make this hat or something like it. Very fun! I am an artist and I draw a lot of the curious world in Alice in wonderland and it turns out quite fun!

  • which alice in wonderland lol im obssesed with alice im working on getting all of them on vdv right now i hav 10 (including the oldest 1 and the newest 1) but my fave is "alice" the 3 ish hour 1 with andrew lee potts

  • i havent seen the 1st one :(

  • Created something similar a while ago; using felt instead of duct tape, however.

  • Very cute!! *grin*

  • lol so cute i love it ut alot of people are doing the mad hater and i searched mini top hat and this is what came up but with some details u used i could use some of it to make a diffrent style like lolita but the hat also wasnt distracting but it was good and i love it :D

  • I will now be using all of my time hunting down cards, card board, tiny metal things I find on the street, and glue... O.O

  • that so cute

  • Great video. Your voice is very calming and the editing was very smooth. Also, a good choice of background music; cute and pretty but not too distracting. :]

I hope to make one of these hats soon. ^_^ Thanks!

  • BTW I am an original Alice in Wonderland fan. When I heard that Tim Burton was going to make the movie I was soooooo excited. Johnny Depp was not even cast as the Mad Hatter yet so yes i had to wait impatiently to watch this movie. But it was all worth it :D

  • I made the hat but skipped this part lol Seemed to complicated

  • i love your hat you made when i was watching your vedo and i saw your hat and i love it and your hat is so so so... cute

  • Really cool. I believe I will try to make one. I saw tim burton's Alice In wonderland and... well... I was highly disappointed. Visually, it was good, but story wise, not so much. Not to mention it bugs me how people constantly mix the red queen and the queen of hearts together, and make them one person. Another thing, I thought the white queen was freakier than the red queen/queen of Hearts.

  • i made a hat and turned out great!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is so, so creative!! I love haberdashery, and....having a cheap way to do it is going to increase my fun dramatically >w<!!

  • mine turned out so different....:(

  • your hat turned out phenominal! It's amazing and there's so much going on in the hat that I thought it was going to be too much but in the end it all came together stupendously! But I thought the movie could have been alot better. I expected so much more from it but it's still a good film, just thought it could have been better.

  • Thats totaly intence..

  • i love it..........^^

  • i think this is the coolest thing i've ever seen

  • I saw the movie and loved it!

  • OMG I love this! Im gonna be the mad hatter for halloween, and Im making a hat like this! Also, my costume is hand-made, so if it turns out OK I will post a short video!

  • i've seen the movie, and it was so great! my fav is definetly Cheshire! :D.

The hat is really cute and i might try it myself some day! :P

  • that hat looks so cute! ^_^

what's the green mat that you have on your desk called? 've been meaning to buy one but I have no idea what their name is >_<

  • @Headphones258 They're called cutting boards :) you can get them almost anywhere (Staples, Wal Mart, Zellers (if you live in Canada) Michaels (I'd try there first!) and even some dollar stores!)

  • OMG THATS TOO CUTE!!!!

  • About the movie, I've always loved Alice in Wonderland so I loved it!^^ I also love Tim Burtons movies and Johnny Depp, wich made it freakin awesome!xD kinda disapointing that it was more of "Threw the looking-glass" but it was still good!!:) Loved your tutorial btw, it came out so pretty!:D

  • Karen, you're so amazing! This is absolutely wonderful. The embedded music, the style which you vlog, and the easy-to-follow instructions. If I may, I might spotlight this video today.

  • aww, being alone and geeky isn't nearly as fun as being in a geeky group. I hope you liked the movie though!

  • I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm planning too. The hat was great! (Though I actually was a little sad when you painted over the card collage with the black paint.) But I suppose that's just a personal preference. But like I said....great job.

  • Well you can see the cards underneath, I just wanted to add a little more texture. But thanks!

    (even with this great tutorial)

I'd love to see alice, but I'll go on friday.. so yeah! I'm pretty excited!

  • aww, well it's really not that hard, and you can simplify parts of it and still get about the same result. Good luck!

  • That hat is incredible :) A mini masterpiece.

I haven't seen Alice in Wonderland yet, but hope to sometime next week.

  • Thanks Ruth! Make sure you do, it's a really beautiful movie.

I saw Alice in Wonderland, I thought it was fantastic!

  • Awesome, send me photos if you do!

  • Wow this is so cool. I saw the movie and loved it. Helena Bonham Carter was amazing and I loved the Chesire Cat

  • Yeah, she was awesome :)

  • your hats are amazing and the movie was pretty good too. I think I'll go see it again.

  • Thanks!

  • Nicely done hat and video

  • Thanks!

  • Alice in Wonderland was amazing! Loved all the costumes <3 And the picturesque vs. sublime scenery.

  • Cool hat! I don't have the tools to make one as of right now... but I sort of wish I did. And I haven't seen Alice in Wonderland, but it's probably coming soon, I'd say, with Spring Break being next week and all!

  • Oh, I bet you'll like it :)

  • I did see it, but I didn't like it much ^^; It's 2nd on my Alice list, first is the 1999 Hallmark, Nick Willings directed, Alice in Wonderland <3 I love this tutorial...!!! LOVE IT! I must try!! After I make my White Rabbit cosplay XD
