  • Feng Zhu would be proud - awesome work!

  • @jordywillems Maak veel versies, soms gewoon kleine dingen uitproberen. Verder veel oefenen.

  • How long did it take you to learn how to draw like that?

  • great stuff,,amazing work....love it.

  • what is this white marker u use ???

  • infact i hope u dont mind if i use this work as inspiration and turn it into a 3d model. Ill use it as reference ;) but i wont steal your work.

  • hi, Amazing work, though i see your using marker for the entire work process, have you ever thought of using Correl painter? With a wacom tablet and A pc, your work can save you time.

Google Feng Zhu artwork, and concept art, most of his work is done with correl painter. Good luck!

  • @Peaceinlifenowar I prefer the feel of paper over using a tablet. I do use an Intuos a4 tablet with photoshop for other things. Having undo is nice...

  • @Tinnenmannetje ^^ very nice talent, I do 3Ds Max myself, i hope you dont mind if i use your work as reference, Just looking trhough it :) keep up the good work

  • I want to fly in one of those. :Þ

Seriously though, do you have a photographic memory? Is that why you do that smaller drawing with the multiliners, to "ingrain" the image/details into your memory?

  • what type of markers are you using

  • @evilchicken469 Copic, but any marker works.

  • respect!!!

  • if i look at your name you seem dutch. arr ya dutch?

  • Inspirational. I doodle little ships all the time in biro - I'd love to dedicate some time and resources to be able to tackle something with more colour and detail like yours.

  • This sorta reminds me of Homeworld.

Did you create the designs of ships for them too?

  • i may have commented previously, but i just want to say i absolutely adore this peice. I watched the HD version too and it awsome.

I would like to start recording drawings for my new channel. is there any chance you could tell me how you mounted your camera above your workspace? or where is hould look for a solution :D

We need more vids from you man!

  • Err... wouldn't it be less effort to procedurally-generate the spaceship models based upon re-scalable 3D components? Then players could morph their own ship at the beginning of the game to suit their persona from a collection of standard classes that had different shapes. It would be more like the avatar creator in Oblivion. Yet, the components could be retro-fitted mid-game for a fee too. You need some way of representing hull damage & dirt for those craft that enter the atmosphere.

  • @Uncompetative Yes, that would let you have more varieties of ships. But after a while, they would all start looking the same, as the same modular components would keep showing up. They wouldn't really have unique shapes or designs. With hand-made models, you get a good-looking ship with style and a clear, recognizable shape. With cookie-cutter designs, each ship would just seem like a mass of greeble and panels with no function or form.

  • Ontzettend gaaf!

Dat je dit uit de losse hand kan doen.

  • this is amazing... you need to show this to george lucas xD

  • Woooo! great work! do you come up with all that detail on the fly?

  • WOOOWW!! INSANE...you have some crazy drawing talent.. omg

  • this is awesome! i'd like to get started doing stuff like this but i dont have alot of money. what basic materials would get me started?

  • Some fineliners, basic markers and marker paper. You can get cheap non refillable markers for 2-3 euros a piece. Copic markers are good too and not too expensive.

  • I wish i could draw like that...

  • well done sir!

  • To bad you cant fly in a concept art... they always look so mutch better then the final 3d model...

    awsomme stuff your drawing :)

  • I'm sorry.. mutch? :P

but I agree, flying a concept art ship or driving a concept art car would be SO COOL!

  • oops typo :D

  • It's a good looking ship, but I think I would like red instead of orange. Maybe I just watch too much BSG.

  • really awesome stuff, great talent! are you using those copic markers, or another kind?

  • I think he is, I myself just started using copic markers in my art work...I can't believe I haven't used them until now, I am obsessed!

  • nice

  • 9:13 just looks cool. (Fine, I skipped to the end, but it still looks cool)

  • Absolutely stunning. You artists out there are so talented. Keep up the good work - Raphael

  • hey, great skills! hope to see more!
