Who are you callig old? I was 13the first time I heard Elvis sing. I am 67 now and I listen to him sing every day. He made history and you can not change history. People of all ages love Elvis. He will always be king of rock and roll.Elvis was and still is the best of all time. I get to be 13 again every day, That is what his music does for me. Thank You Thank You very much.I am from Mississippi also.
Elvis has never been in Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Australia. He´s totally different from other rockers who have been always touring several countries.
@lookinfotrouble Iddle talk. A so important man coud not get a passaport!. Uncle Sam would not allow it. Idle talk. Was he an outlaw? Can you tell me why Elvis did not share stage with other rcokers?
@Arthasu This is real rock n roll. Everything that you "young" people are listening to is spin-off, imitation, second rate stuff. This is the real deal. You are listening to the master. I actually feel sorry for you that you don't hear and feel the magic of it. Pity! Believe me it has nothing to do with age. Lots of young people are perfectly capable of appreciating Elvis Presley. Smart ones who grasp what great music is I suppose!
my statistics teacher was so obsessed with elvis and ESPECIALLY this song. he even put a question on our FINAL EXAM about this song! haha such a cool eccentric guy
@In2TheNiteLife You clearly know little about EP. And your comment is tasteless. E was addicted to sleeping pills due to lifelong use..and later in life to pain pills given to him for several painful ailments. By 1972 he had severe pain from glaucoma and given regular shots in eyes. He underwent painful treatment/needle inserted into eyes and his eyes hurt him all the time. He had already been hospitalized for digestive ailments that caused him severe pain. He does not look "toasted" as you say.
@TrueLight55 Again I will say, I love and still love the man with all my heart and yes i know what he went through alot but i will still say..He was toasted, grow up my friend...weather if he was on pain meds or got them on his own he was still toasted. get over it, elvis was addicted, not a bad thing, just a fact. stop crying and get some balls baby.
@In2TheNiteLife The pain he was enduring was insane those last few years. Yes he was addicted to pain pills and abused them. He was addicted to sleeping pills as well. But still without pain pills he was in a lot of pain with back injury, arthritis, eyes, severe migraines, ulcers, and the worst intestinal. You don't deserve Elvis and I wish you the pain he endured, since you are so determined to keep driving your point home for some strange reason. It is tragic the degree of pain he was in.
Elvis may never been to spain, that's not a problem, but I never been to graceland, and THIS is a real problem for me,hahaha i hope one day i could walk into his house listening his best records....
RIP Elvis, the one and only king,i'm french and 18years old but when he sing,it seems like he's talking to me,helping me...Thank you Elvis, with "love me tender"i've find my first girlfriend, and a very good friend:you Elvis !!
Amei, Adorei, Divino, Extraordinário, Realmente Extraordinárioooooooo!!!, Fenomenaaaaaal.......Este é o Rei, e Será Para Sempre, Assim Estará Para Sempre Em Minha Vida. Voce Está Em Minha Mente e Em Meu Coração Enquanto Eu For Viva. Nunca Te Esqueci e Jamais Te Esquecerei!!!!!Fique Com DEUS. rosana1391.
@JamelleFunk770717 A lot of Elvis songs in 72 were about splitting up.Always on my mind,I'm leavin',Seperate ways,It's over ..which is strange as he also did Burnin' love as well.
Elvis was the best entertainer, he gave his best on stage and it will take ages before we will have some one gifted like he was. Don't forget, all he sung was live!!! Where can you find anyone doing so? regards!
Man if this guy was alive now, he could still rock that outfit and make it cool. People would be all like 'Justin Timberlake who?'. Uh hunh! Fuck I gotta get a sparkled cape now.
evlis really shows off his voice on this song. written by hoyte axton. a local ada boy from oklahoma. i seen hoyte one day at the western story getting a new hat. and i asked him. i said hoyte just between me and you who wrote heart break hotel? he smiled real big and said my momma did.!!!!! true story. rip hoyte and elvis. god bless everybody.
@39tommyboy Hey..I live in guthrie. They're are a few that came out of Oklahoma. Hoyt was one of the best. I loved his voice. The number one was Elvis. RIP.
Nobody in entertainment will ever compair..over a billion records sold, 33 feature films, and in the Rock, Country, and Gospel halls of fame...Plus he served his country in the Army! Elvis is SUPREME!!
whoa! less fightin! Elvis picked the best from his culture and re-interpreted it for a whole generation in the 50s, Mj did the same in the 70s n 80s..IT IS NOT A CONTEST_ they were both about bringin people together thro our shared musical heritage.
First of all, don't compare Elvis and MJ.Elvis didn't take drugs as recreation,he never took 30 to 40 Xanax pills in one night,as told by one of MJ closet friends,on nation tv.Elvis performed so often, his doctor gave him perscription meds,to keep him up,so he could perform, and meds to make him sleep, when he wasn't performing. That and a poor diet,no exercise took it's toll, and his heart gave out.He was exhausted basically.Another thing,Elvis never injected drugs either.I did my research pal.
Ok, relax pal. I'm an Elvis fan,but can appreciate what MJ did for pop music. I was just repeating what I heard Lisa Marie say about MJ in an interview, about being married to him. Sorry if her info wasn't correct. Long live Elvis!!! 8-16-1977
excellent video. incredible sound!!, the power of the voice, the drums (ronnie tutt), the guitar (richard burton), all it´s amazing... Elvis is the only one King
Thanks again for another great upload. This is one of my absolout fav. numbers he did during this tour. I've never heard Three Dog Night's version, but I did this tune with my Power Blues Trio, same way and I usually do my own lead but for this tune I kept the lead like James Burton's. It's just a great song with a tastey guitar solo.
I've never really liked Elvis, and I love Three Dog Night. But he did the song great justice here :D
