E was addicted to sleeping pills due to lifelong use..and later in life to pain pills given to him for several painful ailments. By 1972 he had severe pain from glaucoma and given regular shots in eyes. He underwent painful treatment/needle inserted into eyes and his eyes hurt him all the time. He had already been hospitalized for digestive ailments that caused him severe pain. He does not look "toasted" as you say.

But still without pain pills he was in a lot of pain with back injury, arthritis, eyes, severe migraines, ulcers, and the worst intestinal. You don't deserve Elvis and I wish you the pain he endured, since you are so determined to keep driving your point home for some strange reason. It is tragic the degree of pain he was in.

First of all,don't compare Elvis and MJ.Elvis didn't take drugs as recreation,he never took 30 to 40 Xanax pills in one night,as told by one of MJ closet friends,on nation tv.Elvis performed so often,his doctor gave him perscription meds,to keep him up,so he could perform,and meds to make him sleep,when he wasn't performing.That and a poor diet,no exercise took it's toll,and his heart gave out.He was exhausted basically.Another thing,Elvis never injected drugs either.I did my research pal.

Thanks again for another great upload. This is one of my absolout fav. numbers he did during this tour. I've never heard Three Dog Night's version, but I did this tune with my Power Blues Trio, same way and I usually do my own lead but for this tune I kept the lead like James Burton's. It's just a great song with a tastey guitar solo.
