  • Wong Kar Wai's best film IMO.

  • Loved it!

  • I love

  • does anyone know the name of the song played when they showed the train ??

  • The expression on Yuddy's face when he's dead.. it's seriously breath-taking. I so damn love Leslie's acting in this movie.

  • Nice background music at the end with tony leung combing his hair. Classic scene. Hmm, I thought that the movie ended quite abruptly. Overall, Leslie's acting in this movie is superb.

  • Hahaha PNR!

  • I love the song in this movie!! <3

  • @boyakazakas me too!

  • Carina Lau, Maggie Chueng still the best actress in 80's till now

  • hey what is this,,,?? no one got his or her love????????? i can't understand movie

  • I always have a question since I watch this movie back in the 90s...I dont understand why Wong Kar Wai added Tony Leung's scene at the end of the movie. I tried to watch it again and again until today, and this will probably be the 10th times I've watch this movie in my life and I figure out that...the movie does not end good without this scene at the end. I dont know how many of you will feel the way as I do~ Tony Leung's part at the end is classic!!!

  • @ahbo79 Maybe you knew this, but the end sequence was originally filmed as the trailer for the sequel to Days of Being Wild. Yuddy was killed, and Tony Leung's character would take over the lead in the next picture. The sequel was never made; however, in the movie 2046 they summarized briefly what took place between then and when 2046 took place via the Character of Mimi and Chow -- who have a dialogue recapping the past. Trailer was too good not to use (music added was perfect).

  • thats mean this movie continue wit 2046?

  • wait a minute... is this before in the mood for love?? and 2046?

  • I think it start with "Days of Being Wild" and then "In the Mood for Love " and then it end with "2046".

  • @10n9h4r634ut3 thats what i figured... i watched them backwards lol

  • 末斷梁朝偉係代表另一個阿飛…

  • 아~~~장국영....눈물난다...그가 없다니...

  • I don't get the final scene and the ending :S Could someone explain it to me??

  • OMG I FUCKING LOVED THIS FILM! I loved how the film seemed to just wander around and breathe and let the terrific actors push the story forward with such intensity. Now, I understand all the craziness of WKW, shall have to start looking for all his other films asap!

The lighting provides such dramatic effect to the whole movie. Is the real quality like this too or is it just on YouTube?

    Thank kuraxmol for the upload!

  • very nice. thanks for sharing this. i have only ever seen WKW's more recent films, so this was a treat for me. :)

  • I love this movie. I love how most of Wong Kar Wai's films stir mixed feelings, emotions and the vagueness of the movie leaves room for individual interpretations.

  • & i'm not quite sure y u istumbled into dis movie?? i didnt' get de story..a man who's wasted his life in vain...interestin?? NO!

  • i'm not quite sure how i stumbled on this movie but i'm glad i did.

  • wat the f,,k is wong kar wai doing yet its so damn good.

  • @haitang he is the king of wtf.

  • Gorgeous movie, thanks so much for posting!

Do you know where I can watch 2046? Is it in Youtube as well?

  • great movie but ts on youtube, thx 4 the upload anyway!! i give it a 3.5/5

  • yay :) the actors nowadays cannot compete -.-

  • Now it's Tony Leung's turn to get in the ring ;)

    GREAT ending.

  • I loved this movie but not really 2046

  • i agree. this was more stylish compared to 2046. especially the final tony leung's part of 3 min only

  • fantastic movie - beautiful cinematography!!

  • actually all wong's film is somehow linked.. the message that he is trying to put across. i think one have to watch all his films, to see some light.. interesting movie

  • This is such a beautiful movie! Would love to watch it over and over and over again

  • Agree ~ Only Wong Kar Wai can make such a beautiful movie! Tony Leung's final part is just awesome. Sad Leslie Cheung's already dead :(

  • @fatcowie I do like WKW, his way of elling stories and what he gets from his actors and suff.... But i really don't get this ending. OK Leslie Cheung's character dies, and the rest keep on... But why suddenly, out of the blue and with no real purpose, that ending with tony leung? Just because he's a replacement in the next movie? Is there something else i'm missing??

  • @Neostriker2 Remember what Tony Leung profession is in the triolgy? This was the first strory that he wrote and at the end he has finshed writing the story.

  • a beautiful movie

it leaves you in a deep thought

  • soo.. the playboy ended up living?

  • nope. different guy. new playboy.

  • whats the song that starts up at 2:30? its beautiful

  • It's "Perfidia" by Xavier Cugat. It's in the soundtrack for 2046.

  • wow, I loved this movie

  • oh shit. now i understand why i dont really get In the Mood for Love and 2046 really well...

seems i really have to re-watch those two.

    thanks for posting!

  • Does somebody know what is the soundtrack starting 2:15 I cant find it...

  • This is a very good movie. Why it had such a bad box office when it was released? Maybe most people could not understand it...what a shame!

  • lol..the movie aint weird! its just not as obvious as movies you MAY have previously seen! and the answer to DIETMAN...my view of tony leung featuring at the end of this movie..is to open up for the next chapter AKA in the mood for love..when he and maggie cheung have a passion for one another!but which never fully blossomed..watch it if you havent already!!

  • Yet, Tony Leung is the replacement of Lesile Cheng. Now I understand where the story came from for the part of Maggie Cheng and Carnia Lau in the following movies. They were the same characters...probably in 10 or 20 years. older. At the ending Tony found out he loved Maggie but was way too late.

  • No. Leslie's character and Tony Leung's character aren't the same. I remember Carina Lau told: In 2046, she and Tony had a scene that they told about Yuddy - Leslie's character, but Wong Kar Wai didn't use it. And more, Carina Lau's character in "2046" had told about Leslie's character as "a bird without legs" - that's not Tony's role.

  • replacement. i believe viccandice didn't mean they're the same character. its more like the story line is passed on to him

  • can somebody tell me why tony leung was at the end of the film? like... whats his purpose? lol

  • It's because Tony is the leading man in "Days of being wild II", but the box office of "Days of being wild" is very bad, so the director Wang canceled the film.

  • I've noticed that WKW uses a lot of mentioning of dates. It's pretty random, but cool.

  • For me, Maggie Chung & Carina Lau are the best actress from Hong Kong. Unfortunately Carina Lau never receive any awards. She did well in this movie....

  • agreed...this is the movie show how beautiful she is....be honest..youtube cant really delivery it cos the quality...i remember watched this in cinema..her acting & pretty are exordinary in this movie...
