  • One of the best in the World!!!!!!!

  • No homo or anything, but he kinda looks like Riko Tachibana XD

  • Comment removed

  • This guy really did his homework (besides having the natural speed in him).

  • toujours aussi beau!!

  • Phenomenal but sadly 30 years too late to become mainstream again but I STILL LOVE to listen to this great style of music. Guitarists like Jason Becker, Vinnie Moore and Yngwie Malmsteen to name but three (and yes there were a few) made Neo clssical Rock/Metal famous in the 80's but guys like Bach were doing it 100's of years ago.

NOW WE DO IT LOUDER! :)

Great things come from Japan too!!!

  • boring............shut the fuck up

  • His turbo kicked in at 1:20... He's insane.

  • when somebody is influenced by yngwie malmsteen its an internet sin.

  • i wonder if that thing in his pants is his 3rd hand which he can use to do solos that he can't do with the hands we're seeing

  • I don't get it, his ESP Artist page says the color of this guitar is Candy Apple Red, but every other Candy Apple Red guitar I've seen is darker???

  • @Destroysall CAR is correct. It's just the light making it less dark. ;)

  • 1:14 , why he rotate his pick??? anyone knows?

  • @angunies He does it to "re-grip" the pick. You see, in his picking style he holds the pick more like a pencil and it makes the pick slip really easily, so he has to re-grip it a few times during songs.

  • @angunies I make this some times, 'cause i use GNI / NIG picks. This pick has a name written in high relief, and it bothers my thumb. With it should be the same thing...

  • @angunies Probably just trying to get a better grip.

  • ohmura is a Genius !!

  • Yngwie is great but Ohmura is more refreshing and more advanced.

  • the new "malmsteen"

  • you can actually make out his junk.

  • @navezou94 there is no mistage

  • 00:03 => The only mistakes that I heard from Takayoshi ...

One of the best Japanese Guitarist (y)

  • LOL OH MY Freaking fcking god

Never belittle a guy with a strato (this one is esp) this man could make this guitar get on fire,

Well done mate, if Malsteen saw this sure he'd have cried xDDDDDDDDD

  • pedaso de tema wn grande takayoshi ^^

  • his pants are just an abomination to all that shud be worn =/

  • ex-6 = yngwie malmsteen

  • wow you ppl say he is like yngwie are morons =| that scale has always existed Yngwie didnt "Invent or create" it : | He just happened to be the first to play it which doesnt make him a god

Besides when Takayoshi is in his 40s he wont be fat lazy and sloppy like Yngwie lol..

  • @Trezveil hahahahahahahahahaha

  • @Trezveil He's clearly heavily influenced by Yngwie you moron. He IS a Yngwie clone, theres no doubt about it.

  • @Polyrthyawhut He's influenced but not a clone.

  • @guitarnub3 Yes. Yes he is.

  • @Polyrthyawhut Unlike Yngwie I can hear a difference in all of Takayoshi's solo's

  • @guitarnub3 That is your opinion. The fact is. He is a Yngwie clone.

  • @Polyrthyawhut What I said is opinion and so is what your saying.None of the things we have said are facts.

  • @Trezveil I agree that he's different than Yngwie. But i found it silly when you said "He just happened to be the first to play it" I'm sure Yngwie wasn't the first one to use it :P

  • its not malmsteen its the lick he' is able to play! wrong priority, its the genre NEOCLASSICAL NOT MALMSTEEN! Yeah, he maybe is the godfather of neoclassical, but from another perspective: just a guy that plays this genre good, just as ohmura here!

  • I'm actually not that much of a fan of his soloing (even though he has some nice phrasing) but more of his riffing - his riffs are really catchy

  • Wow this is really good shit :D 5/5.

  • This dude is actually a big Lynch fan. I read it somewhere.

  • its too bad lynch sux lol

  • BURN!!!!

  • he play a lot of economy picking

  • Economy picking!? XD What the hell is that? XD

  • check out batio lessons to learn some economy picking stuff

  • its a cross between sweep and alternate picking

  • econmy pickin is almost alternate pickin but the majority of the time wen u pick a higher string. u downstroke even if u have just played a downstroke on the note before. kinda awkward to explain im findin but pretty easy to understand if you see it used

  • Ok ok I have downloaded MAB instructional video and I know this already :P

  • sweetpicking

  • Sooo.... dark I love it!!

  • Es total!

  • He should write more neo classical songs like this, I love the malmsteen influences!

  • muy pero muy bueno , vi mucho estilo malmsteen y mucho de michael romeo(escuela de yngwie) buenisimo el videoo.

  • stuffed his pants lmao

  • LOL

    perhaps he wears a diaper?

  • I thought these videos were suppose to be viewed by focusing on the fretboard not his ballz lol

  • like i said it on the other video "Your lookin' at his ballz"

  • @BeefSupreme288 or maybe you were just focusing on them?

  • @BeefSupreme288 haha, i guess we thought wrong

  • @BeefSupreme288 you're the homo, stop looking

  • @BeefSupreme288

    Heh. Good reply.

  • @BeefSupreme288 his balls aren't that bad too look at too lol

  • @MistyChaos Damn right! lol

  • ur a freek in a good way

  • fucking great video

  • takayoshi have a realy clean playing

that make the difference and have good feeling

    his composition's are awesone

  • I couldn't agree more. I've stopped listening to American and European music lately, I'm really into the Japanese music now.

  • there are good bands in america and europe other than metallica and dragonforce.... you just gotta look around. dream theater, circus maximus, cynic, between the buried and me, mastodon? heavenly, opeth, burst?? those are all prog metal but as for shredders we have cacophony, paul gilbert, chris impellitteri.. and more. plenty of music right there.

  • oh, and dragonforce sucks. i just couldnt think of a good REALLY mainstream european band.

  • i can also do that if i practice hard XD i'm just lazy lol

  • Most you guyz dunno what you are talkin about lol,

If you think takatoshi has more pace than malmsteen ur blind and deaf

    Takayoshi Ohmara totally rocks

  • FREAKING AMAZING! I LOVE TAKAYOSHI, btw ill have this tabbed out im thinking by this saturday! or maybe tomorow lol who knows

  • I would love you forever.

  • someone tab this!!

  • But do not be terrorist attacks? A god to be good, I think if people like that is very good

I enjoy his music very much and I do not get bored like other guitarists who are better

and the worst thing is that critics wrong and any criticism is decent, criticized for criticizing and do not realize that they must respect who like the guitarist criticized, are also very rude

  • okay this song he does play n sound like yngwie malmsteen. they both r good. but it seems like yngwie plays better to my ears but he is still good. better than me so i give him prompts to create this.

  • well, I think yngwie has party a similar playing-style, that's right. I also think that yngwie is (still) better TECHNIQUALLY! But I like ohmuras compositions more. And in a few years I bet he's techniqually at least at yngwies level:F

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but Yngwie played since he was a little kid, right? Ohmura's been playing for just a couple of years now. Yngwie has the experience, but Ohmura has the style.

  • isn't that what I am saying? "And in a few years I bet he's techniqually at least at yngwies level:F" please read carefully before you interpret things wrong -> ohmura will probably be at yngwie's TECHNIQUE-level; that's really important here because we all know technique isn't all in music, right?

  • I guess you're right. If you ask me, I think both Yngwie and Ohmura have amazing technical abilities. Ohmura plays very technical like Yngwie, Paul Gilbert, and Vai, and he does it with a lot of style. Yngwie does it all but not much style. Yngwie is very plain, but the experience speaks for itself.

  • Well, nothing is completely perfect xD!

Takayoshi ami me like it more that listening to Malmsteen despite being more than exelente really bores me

I like it more the pace of Takayoshi, it sounds much better

  • Takayoshi is far from innovative, though. His sound is unique but his technique is widely used.

People like Paul Gilbert, Roy Buchanan, and Eric Clapton are/were far ahead of their time, something that cannot be said of Ohmura.

  • yeh its obvious that hes taken from yngwie..my young 5 years old brother could see this..he used some same licks in his songs..but in my opinion hes better than yngwiw..much much more talented

  • If you love music you gotta favourite this!

  • this isn't off of his first album...

  • I have all of his cds and this song is definitely from his first cd. If you don't believe me then go to Takayoshi's website and have a look for yourself.

  • i cant understand how just cause he has a scalloped fretboard and uses ESP yea, ESP NOT FENDER strats 9vintage plus) that people call him a YJM clone.. nothing at all like ynwie

  • Maybe because both yngwie and takayoshi played for doogie white, have scalloped frets and play neoclassical. People like to compare every single guitarist to another, not me tho (:

  • you make some good comparisons though :)

  • the picks he's using are awesome. that could be one of the things that helps his picking technique! :O Joe Satriani custom picks! they rock! you fellow guitarists should try em out!

  • Your gay.

  • i second that

  • I love Takayoshi Ohmura, but his pants look like the cover of Steve Vai's Real Illusions CD :o) But seriously his skills are no illusion. Go Takayoshi Go!!!

  • Yeah they do.

  • It's the gem neck inlay on his pants

  • his balls looked at me :O *puke*

  • Dont complain, no balls

  • idk about those pants

  • Takayoshi Ohmura making a mistake? I can´t believe it! Lol.

  • where's the mistake?

  • 00:03, listen carefully.

    But Ohmura still owns.

  • ha yeah i can just barely hear that

    hes still amazing though

  • Thank you for the vid !

If you have the video exercise part, post them please !

    Thanks again !
