  • My initial comment was not intended as a slam. You see what you choose. Good luck with your future endeavors.

  • Awesome drum solo! I'm using this for a 1 minute performance in my public speaking class. It's part of my honors project on belly dancing. Thank you for posting this song!

  • @MsMomoMania How did your performance go?

  • @Bennett3108 Great! I got an A! Thanks so much for the music. My teacher said she loved it!

  • @MsMomoMania Awesome, congratulations! Public speaking and performance is tough ... I read an article once that said a university study determined that more Americans feared public speaking than feared ... DEATH!

  • @Bennett3108 That's exactly how our textbook started the chapter ^.^

  • I like it!

  • drum gives the soul of bellydance music :)

  • great playing... good variables for movement changes. Dig it. Thanks.

  • I belly dance to this all the time! Lol this is one of my favorites. :)

  • thank u so much!!! ive been looking for this type of bellydance music everywhere!

  • Another Dancer here. I do gypsy style belly dance but i love the drum solos. I have added this to my playlist her on youtube for practice because i think it's great for improv too.

Some dancers should try dancing to your song and make a video response that would be really cool!

  • beautiful drumming! looks like i found the drum solo i wanted for an upcoming bellydance competition... thank you for sharing your gift :)

  • Oh my god you are amazing! I will dance to this a a lot!

  • Thanks, s-kitty ... Shake it! Shake it!

  • oh this is sooo amazing!! thank u for sharing your talents with the rest of us!! and ignore the ignorant comment - not even worth wasting your breath over.... wow - makes me want to get up and shake that thannng! haha

  • Good, but I don't see why so many views ?

  • @noaidie "why so many views ?" Your comment is as dumb as it is rude. Are you unfamiliar with how YouTube works? People use the search engine to look for topics they are interested in; ex.: 'belly dance' or 'drum solos' ... and when they do so, a long list of videos that meet that search criteria appear. The user than goes down the list, viewing one file and then the next, liking some of what they see, not liking others. 19,977 views DOES NOT mean 19,977 people think my drum solo is great ...

  • @noaidie Seriously, don't you ever edit yourself? Why would you even post such a useless, snarky, cheap sucker-punch of a comment? Why use these spaces for comments on saying the tiniest, dumbest things that cross your minds? Is it the anonymity of the Internet that makes you think this is OK? 'Cos I have a feeling that you wouldn't air your petty, private thoughts this quickly to people in person ... People like you are the reason why so many users DISABLE the comments on the videos they post.

  • @Bennett3108 Wow . . . You sure did ASSUME a lot about my comment. I was asking a simple question which started with saying that I thought this was good. WHY SO DEFENSIVE ?

If you need clarification to my question, just ask rather than ASSUME I am being rude.

I am just curious why some videos get so many views, such as this one. No slam against you or your video.

  • @noaidie Maybe English isn't your first language, and, if that is the case, I apologize for coming down on you so hard. If it IS your native tongue, then you would understand why I interpreted your comment the way I did. When one says one thing, then, in the same sentence, says "but," the following sentence is some kind of a negation or qualification of the former one. Why would you change the subject in the same sentence? Either your comment was intended as a slam, or you are a poor writer.

  • @Bennett3108

Also, the reason I assumed that your comment was negative was because I examined some of your other past comments left on other people's YouTube videos and noticed that you have an ugly habit of avoiding helpful, thoughtful, articulate and constructive criticism in favor of rude, arrogant and snarky one-liners. Maybe you need to re-examine how you come across online.

  • Love it!!

    Great job

    xx

  • great!!! subscribe me!!

  • and, how are the album-plans going so far? i'd most definitely get it!

  • that sound is so clear its amazing and good job

  • awesome drum solo; what is the name of the composer of this drum solo or this your own work....either way beautiful drumming.

  • @rosemaryporter1982 Thanks for the kind words. This is an original composition. I think I called it 'Büyük Yıldız Amerika'dan."

  • @Bennett3108 you did an awesome job. Would you be so kind to share the written music for your composition? I would like to have a go at learning it. rakssharqi@bigpond.com

  • It's always nice to hear darbuka

  • ok:)

  • Very gooooooddd!

  • Hectic!

  • great drumming!!

  • Shukran!!!

  • Your drumming is very nicely structured an musical. I have the aluminum version of that drum with a plastic head and steel rims. How do I create a similar high sound without messing up my hands?

  • its really how you strike your drum, it takes a lot of practice

  • I just love it....

  • youd be the perfect drummer for me, im a tribal fusion dancer!!!!

  • How do you get that double stroke note with the left hand as seen at the 20 second mark? It is awsome, as is the whole clip. But I would realy like to master that multiple strike sound.

  • GREAT drum solo, and very fun to dance to!!

  • OK, in the spirit of full disclosure ... Shari3108 is my wife, y'all, and this drum solo was written for her, and she rocked it on New Years Eve, so ... her comment may be a little biased.

  • Fantastic. I am a belly dancer. I would like to dance to that. Do you have a cd?

  • No, not yet, still working on it. Thanks for the comment.
